Republicans Beg Constituents To Snitch On School Districts Enforcing Mask Mandates

The Republican attorney general of Missouri, Eric Schmitt, is asking parents to start snitching on any school districts in the state who enforce mask mandates or who quarantine students. This came after a flimsy court ruling that banned such actions, but Schmitt conveniently ignores the fact that the court ruling clearly says they are only banned when based on "opinion". Missouri knows mask mandates work, and they've done everything they could to cover up that data. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Republicans are trying to turn us into a country of snitches. We have seen this recently with, you know, some states telling parents, hey, make sure you report any teachers that are trying to teach critical race theory, which isn't happening. Make sure you report if they're teaching our kids these books that we don't like. And now in the state of Missouri, the Republican attorney general Eric Schmitt came out this week and encouraged parents to report any school in the state that is enforcing a mask mandate for kids or enforcing quarantines for kids who have been exposed. That's right. If your kid's school in Missouri is actually trying to not let your kids get sick, please report them to the state so they may be punished. You know, I, I, I hate to go back to 1984, the book by George Orwell, because everybody overuses it. But honest to God, this really is what's happening here. You know, I, I, I think back because I read that book over and over again about every two years or so, as I've said before, and I think back to the, the youth, right?

Because they charge the kids with going around and snitching on the parents. If the parents said anything bad about big brother, you turn them in, we'll take care of them and you get to be a good little foot soldier for our government, for big brother. And that is what Republicans Republican politicians are turning Republican people into, the snitches, turn these people in and you'll win a prize, turn these people in and you will be favored. And what are they doing? They're trying to protect kids and Schmitt claims that it's because, oh, well we had this, you know, little circuit court come out with a ruling recently that said that you cannot have these mask mandates, quarantines. You can't have any of that. So we want people to report if they are because they're in violation of the court order. Bull crap. Go ahead and call bull crap on that right now Schmitt because you, as attorney general should understand what that ruling actually says because the ruling does, in fact, say you cannot have mask mandates in the schools or other places. You cannot have them, you cannot have the quarantine orders. But you can only not have those things when it's based on opinions.

So if there were any kind of science or data in the state of Missouri that showed that masks work, that would be based not on opinion, but on scientific fact. Gee, if only those things exist, oh wait, they do. Because a story from earlier in the week showed us that Republican Missouri governor Mike Parson had the data in his hand showing that mask mandates reduce the transmission of COVID-19 in his own state and he hid it. He buried it from the public. Therefore by the judge's own rationale in this ruling, the mask mandates put in place by these schools would in fact be perfectly legal because there is data in the hands of the Republican government of the state of Missouri that proves masks work, and they keep people safe. But to be honest, it really wasn't that difficult to prove that everything you are saying and of course this little snitch program you're trying to start is based on a complete and total lie.
