3:47Now PlayingIt is no secret that Donald Trump loved watching the Insurrectionists storm the Capitol on January 6th, but a new report now says that he was also "confused" as to why no one else in the White House was enjoying it. The report says that staffers were growing concerned because Trump kept rewinding the footage and watching repeatedly while swooning over how much the people "loved him." Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

According to a new report from the Associated Press, Donald Trump had his feelings a little bit hurt on the day of the Capitol riot, because even though he was enjoying what was unfolding on TV to the point where he kept rewinding it and watching it over and over and according to Stephanie Grisham commenting, look at all of the people fighting for me, the staff inside the White House that day didn't see it that way. In fact, they didn't wanna see it at all. They were growing annoyed, according to this report, that Donald Trump kept rewinding it, kept watching it and of course, kept fawning over how much these people loved him. And then Grisham says that Trump became confused as to why everybody else in the room in the White House, really, wasn't enjoying this. How can you not love this? This is must see TV. They're rioting and destroying the Capitol because they love me so much.
You see that guy with the zip ties? Oh, those are zip ties of love for me. The man with the horned helmet. Yes. He's horny for me, Donald Trump, I imagine was thinking. This is sick. This is truly a sick individual that we are dealing with here. And the reason all of this is in fact relevant because just on its face, okay, whatever. Right. Nobody cares that the staffers, you know, didn't wanna watch this unfold on TV. Why is this relevant? You may be asking. It's relevant because this is the guy that right now is the front runner for the 2024 Republican nomination. And this is the kind of behavior that he exhibits. This is the kind of loyalty that he commands from his staff. And he has an exceptionally good chance of getting back into the White House in 2024. He certainly has, you know, right now, a lock on getting that Republican nomination. Ron DeSantis' poll numbers are falling. His little feud with Trump, even though Trump backed down, did do a number on DeSantis' national poll numbers.
So Trump is still at the top. But national polls also show that Biden would very easily defeat Donald Trump once again. So I guess we got that going for us, if we want eight years of president Biden in the White House, which I think a lot of people at this point say, what's the third option? Well, there may not be one and that's the worst part of all of this. However, these stories are in fact, relevant. Donald Trump could easily become the next president of the United States. He still wields tremendous influence over the, the Republican party. You know, one half of the two major political parties here in the United States. So unfortunanetly this is relevant. His behavior that day does mean something. It means we need to be careful. It means we need to stay on the attack because we cannot let our guard down and think that this man doesn't matter anymore. Because the second we do that, we fall into the Hillary Clinton 2016 trap and next thing we know it, we're back to four years of pure hell.
