Former Vice President Mike Pence has unveiled his agenda for Republicans to use in the midterms, an attempt by Pence to get back on top of the Republican Party. And his agenda is just as horrible as you would expect: It includes a plethora of culture war nonsense for Republicans to push, while also calling for more trickle down economics and cuts to regulations. Following in the footsteps of Republican Senator Rick Scott, former vice president Mike Pence has now put out his own plan that Republicans can use as their 2022 midterm agenda. And it is just as horrible as you would expect. It may not have the tax increases that Rick Scott wants to put on the poorest Americans, but it does rehash some of the dumbest Republican policies that we have seen in several decades. Cutting regulations. Oh, wow. There's a new one. How deep did you have to dig to come up with that one, Mike? Cutting taxes. Oh dear God. Here we are back to trickle down economics. Mike Pence is right there saying we gotta cut taxes. Yeah. Let me tell you something, folks. Do you know how many wealthy people have had their taxes raised since Biden took over, since the Democrats took over the House in the Senate?

Uh, none. We didn't repeal that 2017 Republican tax cut. Okay. That is still in place. So what Mike Pence is calling for in this, you know, tax cut plan, is to lower those taxes even further for the wealthy elite, because they didn't go back up. It's not like he's saying we need to put 'em back where they were after our tax cut. No, no, no. We need to lower them even more. Like he doesn't want rich people to pay taxes. He doesn't want corporations to pay taxes and I wish Republicans would just come out and say that. Like stop it with the coded language, everybody, including, by the way, your own voters see through this right now. Trickle down economics has never been more unpopular in the United States and your 2017 tax cut scam was effectively you guys being Icarus flying a little too close to the sun, you got arrogant, you got greedy.

Everybody saw through it and they saw that they didn't get the benefits. So please shut the hell up about cutting taxes for the wealthy. It also includes of course, increasing American energy production, even though American energy production is currently at an all time high. What we need to do is stop and start increasing American energy production with renewable energy. But y'all don't want to have that conversation, do you? You don't wanna push us into the future. You want to take us back to the early 19 hundreds. And then of course there's all kinds of culture war nonsense in there, pledging, for instance, as the Associated Press points out, to save women's sports, by ensuring that sports competitions are between those who share their God given gender and calling for all high school students to pass a civics test. Okay. Not gonna lie. I'm okay with the civics test part.

In fact, I'll take it one further. I don't think it should be the civics test. I think it should be the citizenship test. I think if we're gonna make other people moving into the United States pass that test, I think our own people should have to pass it too and I don't think that's out of the realm of possibility. But civics, absolutely. Yeah. I'm cool with that. So you got one point out of a 28 page plan that I'm okay with. The rest of it is typical Republican nonsense, the same failed policies of the last 40 years added in with the new culture war issues that Republicans are pushing nonstop. That's what we're getting out of this legislation that Mike Pence, oh, it's not legislation, excuse me, this agenda that Mike Pence is pushing. So the question is, why is he pushing it? Right? Republicans, Mitch McConnell says.
