CNN recently launched their new streaming service, CNN+, and it became an instant failure. The app is so bad (boasting only about 10,000 viewers per day) that it makes Donald Trump's Truth Social look like a thriving business. The problem that the network didn't take into account is that no one is that hungry for news, and if they are, there are countless streaming services that already offer that service - and plenty who do it online for free! If you thought Donald Trump's truth social was the biggest internet flop of this year so far, I need to direct your attention over to CNN plus. Now CNN plus was a streaming service or is at the moment a streaming service that CNN launched just a couple weeks ago. They spent $300 million creating this CNN streaming service and it's already an even bigger flop than Donald Trump's truth social. In fact, CNN plus has failed so hard, it makes truth social look like a fricking goldmine at this point. According to the latest reports, even though it was only launched on March 29th, so we're talking two weeks ago, CNN has already announced that they're gonna have to make some major cutbacks and fire quite a few people from CNN plus because nobody's watching it. They're registering about 10,000 users a day, 10,000 users a day. Put it this way. If we put out a video on our YouTube channel that had only got 10,000 views, we would consider that a failure.

Hell, even my climate change videos that nobody seems to care about still do better than 10,000 views a day and CNN plus, right? This massive multi billion dollar media empire can't even get more than 10,000 viewers per day. And they spent $300 million on it. This is from Axios. CNN executives with help from consulting firm McKinsey originally expected to bring in around 2 million subscribers in the US in the services first year and 15 to 18 million after four years. They thought it would break even, they'd make their $300 million back after four years, it costs $6 a month or $60 a year if you'd like to get a deal on it, to watch this streaming service from CNN. So here's the thing. Even CNN's regular channel, by the way, is doing really bad. They're not even getting a million viewers per day, per day. Like 773,000 viewers per day is what CNN pulls in, which again, is about what our YouTube channel does on a very good day.

So we're I guess, rivals to CNN. I know people like David Pakman, Sam Seder, they bring in more viewers than that. TYT does. So CNN is failing by every possible measure. But the streaming service of course is a little bit different. This was supposed to be their foray into strictly online streaming and it's already dead. And I think part of the reason for that is because nobody wants to pay $6 for something that they can literally get for free and CNN didn't bother to think about that. You can get the regular CNN app and stream their programming for nothing. Or if you don't wanna go that route, you can literally just download the YouTube app for free, watch all of CNN's content on there. And if you're not into CNN, you can literally watch anything else in the world on YouTube for free. So why would somebody wanna pay $6 a month for more Wolf Blitzer or more Anderson Cooper? No, y'all, can't even get people to tune into your network on television for free. Nobody's gonna pay $6 to get even more of that garbage.
