Madison Cawthorn Reveals Pathetic Fundraising Haul As Scandals Take Toll

Members of Congress (and candidates) had to reveal their first quarter fundraising hauls this past Friday, and several Republicans severely underperformed. One of those Republicans was Madison Cawthorn, and his pathetic fundraising shows that the scandals and other stupidity that he has engaged in during the past year is finally catching up to him. Marjorie Taylor Greene isn't the only, you know, lunatic Republican who is struggling to raise money right now. In fact, compared to Madison Cawthorn, Marjorie Taylor Greene looks like she's just rolling in the dough because Madison Cawthorn is struggling right now to get any money from anyone for anything. He's also spending money like a drunken sailor, no offense to any drunken sailors out there watching this, but recently in his last Friday campaign financial disclosures, it showed that he spent $443 on one visit to Chick-fil-A, $1,371 on a visit to Papa's beer and $2,560 on Amazon. Those are just a couple of the expenses. So yeah, I mean, if you're spending over $400 every time you go to Chick-fil-A, you're gonna run outta money pretty quickly. And of course the donors are not exactly opening up their checkbooks for Madison Cawthorn.

Which means that after his massive spending spree on chicken sandwiches and booze, Cawthorn now has a whopping $115,000 cash on hand, $115,000 cash in hand. Like that's it. That is all the money that kid can spend on his reelection until he raises more. And again, he's in a very contentious primary race. There's still a chance he's gonna get kicked off the ballot anyway. But even if he survives the ballot challenge, he's got very tough primary challengers that have been endorsed by prominent Republicans who are sick and tired of Cawthorn's antics. And he has no money to fight back. He has no money to do anything. I don't even know that you can buy a TV ad in his area in North Carolina for $115,000. I mean, do really wanna blow every dollar you have running one ad for a week or two? Doesn't seem like something that would be a very smart move.

But at this point, Madison Cawthorn may not have any choices. He's obviously not getting much like Marjorie Taylor Greene, not getting a ton of the big corporate money because he is so toxic. He has turned off a lot of the small donors, especially with his recent comments about the cocaine fueled sex orgies happening with the Republican party. So it's also unlikely that the RNC itself is going to open up their doors to give Cawthorn more money. The dude's in a lot of trouble, financially speaking, politically speaking, ethically speaking, he's got some very serious problems in front of him, but of course the most immediate one is how in the heck do you run a campaign when you have these very tough primary challengers running against you, and then head into a general election when you have virtually no money left and nobody else willing to give you any cash. That's not the recipe for success and it may spell the end to Madison Cawthorn's very short and very stupid political career.
