Trump Bullies Wisconsin Lawmakers To Continue Ballot Audit

Donald Trump issued a veiled threat to lawmakers in Wisconsin, and as a result, they decided to continue funding a ballot audit of the 2020 election that has already been essentially concluded without any evidence of fraud. But Trump was threatening to endorse the top Republican in the state legislature's opponent in the primary, so he bowed down and did what Trump wanted. These cowards have to be removed from office, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Though it hasn't been as publicized as the ballot audit that took place in Arizona last year, Wisconsin Republicans have also been conducting a ballot audit in their own state for many, many months now. And the audit is being conducted by a former conservative state Supreme Court justice and earlier in March, by the way, he actually released a preliminary report saying, hey, I didn't find any of the fraud that we thought, but, eh, the election may still have been screwy. So maybe we should do something. But, uh, I couldn't find anything to back up any of the claims I'm making here. So most of us thought at the time, okay, that's the end of this audit. Republican tax or not Republican, taxpayers in the state of Wisconsin had already paid $680,000 to this conservative to conduct this audit. So everything was done. No fraud found. No way to overturn the election. And then this week, something interesting happened.

Donald Trump came out and he said this. Anyone calling themselves a Republican in Wisconsin should support the continued investigation in Wisconsin without interference. After all of the evidence the report brought to light, how could anyone want to stop it? I understand some RINOs have primary challengers in Wisconsin. I'm sure their primary opponents would get a huge bump in the polls if these RINOs interfere. So he basically comes out and threatens these Republicans. If you do not continue this investigation that had essentially already concluded, maybe, uh, maybe I come out and endorse your primary opponent. Maybe something happens to you. I mean, he is using mafia tactics to bully these Republican lawmakers. So he makes that statement and then the next day, do you know what happened? Let me read it for you. Wisconsin GOP assembly speaker Robin Vos announced that he'll continue to fund the office of former state Supreme Court justice Michael Gableman, even though his contract had expired and Gableman's work appeared to be complete.

So Trump issues a threat on Monday, and then on Tuesday Robin Vos comes out and says, you know what? Uh, I think we, uh, I think we need to continue this investigation. We've spent roughly $700,000 on it and it's done and couldn't find any fraud. But why the hell not? Why not just give Gableman more money to go out there and search for something we all know doesn't exist? You may as well give him a million dollars to go out and try to find Bigfoot at this point. He has better chances of finding a Sasquatch than he does of finding massive voter fraud that flipped the state to Biden in the 2020 election. This is how insane Republicans have gotten. They had it concluded, the contract had expired. It was done and over with. Trump steps in and says, maybe I'm gonna kneecap your campaign if you don't continue it. So they say, all right to hell with it. I, I guess we're still doing this. Here you go. We don't wanna off the crazy person down in Florida. I don't even have anything else to say about that. That's what Republicans are today. A bunch of weak knee'd cowards bowing down to this fat little pig who sits on his golf course all day long, threatening them from thousands of miles away.
