Bush who authored the infamous "torture memos," told CNN recently that there are several very obvious crimes that Donald Trump should be prosecuted for. During a recent interview with CNN, Alberto Gonzalez, the former attorney general, uh, one of the attorney generals, I guess I should say, who served under George W. Bush reiterated that he believes Donald Trump has in fact committed crimes and that the DOJ would do very well to prosecute him. Now, before we get into Alberto Gonzalez's claims, let me remind everybody and maybe inform people who may not have known that Alberto Gonzalez is the individual prior to becoming attorney general in the year 2002, he authored the Bush administration torture memos that effectively throughout the Geneva conventions and said, it's okay if we torture these people in Guantanamo bay and in these black sites all over the world, the people that we apprehend through these so-called war on terror, Alberto Gonzalez is the guy who basically made all of that. Uh, I guess you would call legal in the eyes of the Bush administration.

And even he thinks Donald Trump should be prosecuted for his involvement in January 6th. Like, do you know how bad your criminal activity has to be for the guy that justified torture to be like, oh wow, this guy broke the law. That's pretty fricking remarkable. Albert Gonzalez himself, of course should be, should have been prosecuted for what he did, but he wasn't, but gonzles was responding to Liz Cheney's comments where Liz Cheney said in the recent hearing quote, the reality we face as Republicans, as we think about the choice in front of us, we have to choose because Republicans cannot be loyal to both Donald Trump and to the constitution at this moment, Jake Tapper on CNN as Alberto Gonzalez. Do you agree with that? And Gonzalez said, I think that that is a very accurate statement, quite frankly, but then Gonzalez of course, went pressed by Tapper, went in to talk about the potential crimes committed by Donald Trump.

This is what he said. I think that if you can tie him, he knew about, he knew the crowd was dangerous. He encouraged the crowd to go to the capital and he knew the crowd was armed. And he knew what the, uh, that the purpose of the, what was going on in Congress, which was to certify the electoral college count. And yeah, I think one might make the argument that there is certainly the beginnings of a case full of seditious, conspiracy obstruction of Congress. So there are some things there that I think the attorney general will look at along with witness tampering, which of course has emerged as one of the other big things that we have learned a lot about within the last seven days, the potential witness tampering. But again, I cannot stress this enough. Alberta Gonzalez should be in the Hague, right? This guy should be in some kind of prison somewhere for what he did, what he authorized, what he justified via

These torture memos. In my eyes, this man is in fact, a war criminal and in the eyes of many Americans and lots of people all around the globe. He is in fact, a war criminal for authorizing the use of enhanced interrogation tactics. And even he is looking at this saying, I can see that laws were broken and Hey takes one to no one, right? Alberto, cuz you know all about breaking the law, circumventing the law, rewriting the law really is what you did. But if even this guy looks at Trump and says, oh wow, this is bad. Then you know, things are much worse than we previously thought.
