YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAccording to a new report from Reuters, more major Republican donors are trying to cozy up to Ron DeSantis because they believe he isn't going to "embarrass them" like Donald Trump has. They may regret that particular choice of words, as DeSantis is just as embarrassing and stupid with his words as Trump has been. The only difference is that DeSantis has none of the baggage that comes with Trump, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

According to a new report from Reuters, Donald Trump's biggest Republican donors are apparently ready to move on. And if that sounds familiar, it's because we've gotten a lot of reports over the last couple weeks here telling us that Republican donors are ready to move on from Trump, but it's not just that they're ready to move on from Donald Trump and find somebody new it's that they've already found somebody new. And that new person of course, is Florida's authoritarian, governor Ron DeSantis. And these donors in this interview with Reuters have spoken very clearly about why they prefer Ron DeSantis over Donald Trump. One of 'em said it very clearly, DeSantis feels more fresh and more calibrated than Trump. He's easier to defend. He's less likely to embarrass and he's got the momentum pretty strong words, right? And I mean, none of it is untrue except for the embarrassing part.
They may come to regret those words, but here's the thing Ron DeSantis, of course, as I've mentioned, does not have the baggage that Donald Trump has, right? As much as I despise the guy, as horrible as his legislation and his rule of Florida has been, he doesn't have any scandals, you know? Yes. He has a, you know, whole history of horrid legislation and attacking marginalized members of our community. But in terms of actual scandals, you know, potentially illegal things that he has done, it simply does not exist or at least has not manifested yet. So he doesn't have any of that potential criminal baggage that comes along with Donald Trump. He's also not necessarily as brash as Donald Trump at times when Trump goes out there and says those embarrassing things. Although Ron DeSantis, of course has not above doing some of the same things that Donald Trump has done.
He attacks the press attacks specific reporters, bars them from his events. Hell the guy, according to reports has had an enemies list. Ron DeSantis has. So he has a lot of the same qualities as Donald Trump, except he doesn't have any of the baggage. And he is far more competent, which of course makes him even scarier than Donald Trump. But it's not just the donors by the way, one G O P strategist who spoke to Reuters, uh, uh, by the name of Doug hay said this it's beneficial for anybody who's looking at running for 2024. This is making it easier for Republicans candidate and voter to inch away from Donald Trump referring of course to the, uh, January 6th select committee hearings and Donald Trump's attacks on the committee and the witnesses that have come forward specifically, Cassidy Hutchinson. So donors, strategists, activists, voters, all of those people within the Republican party are kind of starting to say the same thing. And that is we we'd like to move on. Now.
I think we're ready to go. The problem of course, is that there's not enough voters that think that in spite of what some of these donors and GOP strategists would like to believe, unfortunately, Donald Trump is still the front runner for the 2024 nomination. He is likely going to be announcing his, uh, presidential bid, honestly, any moment now. And once he does that, he is going to claim that everything that happens from this point forward with regard to the January 6th investigation, the Georgia investigation, the DC investigation and the New York investigatio
