Senate Republicans Furious After Rick Scott Blows All Their Campaign Money

Republicans in the Senate have one question for Rick Scott, who of course is the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the fundraising arm of the Senate Republicans, they've got a question for him. And that question is, hey Rick, where the hell is the money, man, where's our money? We have raised $173 million this year. We got $28 million left and three months to go before the midterms, Rick, where's the money going? You know, I don't care personally where the money's going. I don't even care if Rick Scott we're embezzling the money. I know he's not, I'm not accusing him of that, but Republicans you get what you deserve, right? It's not like you didn't know who Rick Scott is and what Rick Scott has been accused of doing in the past. After all this man founded and ran a healthcare company that was convicted of the largest Medicare fraud in the history of the United States, over a billion dollars. During the depositions, Rick Scott had to plead the fifth amendment 75 times or somewhere right around there in order to not incriminate himself in the money stealing scandal.

So what does the Republican party do? They go ahead and put him in charge of the money. Like his company stole lots of money. So they look at this guy who again, pleaded the fifth 75 times so you couldn't link him to stealing the money and they said, let's put him in charge of all the money. What could possibly go wrong? Right folks. And now all the money's missing. Almost $150 million that Republicans can't account for. They don't know where it is, right? They're paying $13 million or $12 million in American Express credit card payments with an unclear purpose. $13 million for consultants, $9 million on debt payments. But they're not exactly sure what all this means. Let me put it to you this way. The Republican party, the Senate Republicans have lost so much money that they recently had to pull $10 million worth of ads in states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and Nevada, Arizona, because they can't afford it.

See, I thought at the time it was because they were just giving up on those candidates and effectively conceding control of the Senate to the Democrats after the midterms. Turns out it's because they're frigging broke. They don't have any money left. They need to save pennies everywhere they can And that's why they're kind of shutting out these candidates that are doing so bad saying, well, I guess we can save a little bit of money by not helping these people. But more importantly, Rick Scott, where the hell's the money going, man? Where is it? You've got a couple receipts here, but even those are a little confusing to your Republican colleagues. Please tell us you're not pulling a fast one on your whole party. But listen to this, you get what you deserve. You put a guy who in my opinion probably should have ended up in jail. Of course he was never charged. He was never convicted because he pleaded the fifth amendment. But we know why he pleaded the fifth. But you guys put him in charge of the money anyway. So you deserve all of the pain and discomfort that comes along with putting Rick Scott in charge of your finances.
