Trump Officials Instructed Prosecutors To Indict Trump's Political Enemies

According to a former federal prosecutor, an official from Donald Trump's Justice Department told him that he needed to indict some of the political enemies of the then-President to "even things out" after some of Trump's friends were indicted. This is the kind of abuse of justice that Republicans are saying the Biden administration is engaging in, yet they completely ignore these new reports. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

A former federal prosecutor has alleged in a new book that a high ranking justice department official from the Trump administration told him he had to go out and prosecute a Democrat, a democratic lawyer, uh, by the name of, uh, um, Gregory Craig, Greg Craig. And it's because as the justice department official put it to this federal prosecutor, quote, it's time for you guys to even things out. So what had happened was this federal, prosecutor's the one that went after Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's lawyer. He also went after Republican representative, Chris Collins. And so the DOJ, um, man, by the name of Edward O. Callahan, the principal associate deputy attorney general reached out to this prosecutor Berman and said, listen, it's time to even things out. You took down two Republicans. Now you have to go after a Democrat and you have to do it before the 2018 midterms. Cuz this happened according to the prosecutor, couple months before the 2018 midterms get even things out here is what Berman wrote in his book. Jeffrey Berman, by the way, throughout my tenure, as us attorney Trump's justice department kept demanding that I use my office to aid them politically. And I kept declining in ways. Just tactful enough to keep me from being fired.

See, this is the kind of thing that Warren say federal investigation now, right? We have Republicans, Matt gates, literally yesterday telling us on Twitter. As soon as Republicans take back the house of representatives, we're gonna launch an investigation into the FBI's, you know, politicization and raid of Malago okay. And they literally told me repeatedly multiple different times I have to start prosecuting Trump's political enemies because we also went after some of his friends who clearly broke the law and of course paid the price for it. But Republicans don't care, right? They absolutely do not care. I mean, honestly, given the lack of any kind of real media attention to this, starting to think Democrats might not care about it either, but weaponizing the department of justice, which is what Republicans are claiming every single day that Merick Garland and president Biden have done is exactly what Donald Trump did. There are witnesses, there is evidence, and this is the kind of thing that really does need to be used to

Counter these idiot, Republican talking points out there. But another big part of this story, that's not actually in the story, but just more of a warning for the future. If Donald Trump ever does get back into the white house, this is what we can expect, right? This is what he's gonna do. He's gonna weaponize the department of justice. He's gonna fire any us attorney out there, any federal prosecutors that will not go after his political enemies, he'll replace them with lawyers that will, and we're all screwed. They will go after each and every one of us, if they get the opportunity to do that, but he won't have the opportunity to do that. If we keep him out of the white house, that really is priority. Number one for the United States, because the more that comes out about what he did while he was in office, the scarier a second Trump term starts to look.
