5:10Now PlayingDr. Joseph Ladapo, Florida's surgeon general that Governor Ron DeSantis picked for his bizarre and scientifically illiterate take on COVID, is now instructing young, healthy men to avoid getting the COVID vaccine and booster. Ladapo is falsely claiming that this group is at an increased risk of heart problems from the shot, but the scientific evidence he's using is spotty, faulty, and has NOT been peer-reviewed. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins talks about how these two freaks turned Florida into a disgusting anti-vax state.

Last Friday, Florida's surgeon General, Dr. Joseph La Dapo came out and actually encouraged young men in the state of Florida to not get the Covid vaccine at a time when areas of the country are once again seeing spikes. Were now seeing new variants after, you know, coming off the BA one. We've finally got the vaccine that's supposed to help with that. Nope, now we've got new variants. And the Surgeon General of the state of Florida a week ago literally told young men don't go get this vaccine. And in justifying his claim for these young men to not get these vaccines because hey, he says the research, the research says young men are dying at a horrifying rate from heart issues after getting the vaccine. Problem is according to the experts and according to the data that Mr. La Dapo himself, uh, uh, cited. That's not true.
Here is what the Washington uh, post had to say. LAPOs recommendation extrapolated from a short state analysis that has not been peer reviewed, carries no authors and warns that its findings are preliminary and should be interpreted with caution, was swiftly condemned by medical and public health. Health leaders who said the Florida Surgeon General's announcement was politics masquerading as science and could lead Americans to forgo lifesaving interventions. More than a dozen experts interviewed by the Washington Post, including specialists and vaccines, patient safety and study design listed concerns with Florida's analysis saying it relies on information gleaned from frequently inaccurate death certificates rather than medical records. It skews the results by trying to exclude anyone with Covid 19 or a covid related death and draws conclusion from a total of 20 cardiac related deaths in men 18 to 39 that occurred within four weeks of vaccination. Experts noted the deaths might have been caused by other factors including underlying illnesses or undetected covid. So the people who who looked at this actual study said, Well, hold up. This doesn't prove anything. You got 20 people in the state of Florida that had a vaccine within four weeks and then died of a heart related illness. But this data here doesn't show if any of these 20 people out of millions, if any of these 20 people had any other illnesses. Did you have any preexisting conditions? Did you have covid and die from Covid?
A surgeon General knows these things, right? They know how scientific studies are conducted. They know how medical studies are conducted. They know when data is complete and they know when it is incomplete. So Dr. Joseph La Dapo, Ron
DeSantis, handpicked guy because he is anti-vaxxer, came out, lied to people, put them in danger by lying to them about this study and said, Oh man, if you get this, you could die of a heart attack. People will die because of this announcement from our idiot surgeon General down there in the state of Florida. The guy is a complete and total moron, in my opinion, should have his medical license revoked for the dangerous and stupid information that he is putting out there, pretending that it is accurate. You know, first do no harm, right? And that the Hippocratic Oath. And here is a surgeon general, a doctor who put his whole credibility aside to advance his political career, to advance his political agenda along with Ron DeSantis political agenda.
