Conservative Group Loses Bid To Stop Biden's Student Loan Debt Forgiveness

A conservative group from Wisconsin has suffered a major setback in their effort to stop President Biden's student loan debt forgiveness plan, as a three-judge panel ruled that they will NOT issue an injunction to stop the plan from being implemented - for the time being. Republicans are terrified that debt forgiveness is going to give Democrats the upper hand in the midterms, and that's why they are desperate to stop it from happening. This week, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals smacked down an attempt by a Wisconsin conservative group to, uh, get rid of President Biden's student loan debt forgiveness program. Now, I had actually talked about this group about a week or so ago. This was the group, the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, um. And they filed the lawsuit trying to stop poor people from getting student loan debt forgiveness by saying, Oh, no, no, no. This violates the 14th Amendment's Equal protection clause. Because Biden said, Hey, this is gonna benefit a lot of black people here in the United States. So this Wisconsin group that I'm assuming is probably very white, I haven't looked at them, so I don't know for certain, but I'm gonna assume probably a lot of white people, um, says, Nope, you can't do that because that's racist against everybody. That's not black.

So, so we're suing you claiming your student loan debt. Forgiveness is racist against white people. Um, a three judge panel unanimous unanimously decided that, yeah, that's not happening. So they refused to put an immediate injunction on student loan debt forgiveness as this case moves its way to trial because it is still gonna go to trial. Apparently the case has not been dismissed. Just their stupid request for an injunction saying nobody can get debt relief until we finish this. And the judges who were appointed, one would, one was appointed by Reagan, one was appointed by Biden and one was appointed by Trump. And all of them, good, bad, the ugly there. Look at it. Said like, Yeah, this doesn't make any sense. We're not, uh, we're, we're not gonna go with you. We're still gonna let you bring the case, right? You're gonna have your chance to come into a court and make these arguments in front of actual people.

You know, people are gonna hear you say that this program is racist. Uh, we're gonna make you do that, but we're definitely not gonna give you the injunction to actually stop the program. So here's the thing, here's the thing. If the lawyers who filed this lawsuit were any good at all, and, and trust me, look, I'm saying that while I'm literally at a legal conference with like 1500 of the best and smartest and most successful, uh, plaintiff's lawyers in this country, right? The men and women, literally right outside this room right now, are the best in this country. And I'm looking at idiots like this, filing this lawsuit saying, Oh, it's racist against white people. Y'all are never gonna make it to this con conference that I'm at. I'm unfortunate to tell you that. Um, because here's the thing, and these lawyers know this. They, they have to know this. You cannot claim that it violates the equal protection clause of the Constitution because it doesn't specifically

Direct more money to minorities. The only qualification as to who gets the money is based on your income. It is not based on race. And therefore your lawsuit should have been tossed with prejudice on the merits. But it wasn't. Maybe it's cuz these judges just wanna screw with this people and say, Hey, look, No, no. We want you to walk into a court and we want you with a straight face to make that argument in front of a jury. Maybe it's a form of punishment, maybe they just wanna see where it goes. But either way, this thing will eventually lose. And these lawyers, they'll get paid, but they're gonna have to actually walk into a court and try to claim that this program is racist. And that's gonna be a hell of a thing to watc
