A former US Attorney says that one of Donald Trump's latest rants against reporter E. Jean Carroll might have completely blown up his only line of defense in the defamation lawsuit that he is facing. Trump recently reiterated the comments that got him sued in the first place, but he's no longer protected because he isn't the president. His entire defense hinges on making the statements as official Presidential statements, for which he would have immunity, but saying them again now could easily destroy everything. Legal experts are pointing out that Donald Trump may have absolutely just destroyed the only possible defense he might have in the ongoing defamation lawsuit filed against him by reporter e Eugene Carroll, who alleges that Donald Trump sexually assaulted her in a, in a department store, uh, changing room back in the nineties. She actually still has the outfit from that day. She claims there's DNA from her attacker on it. And part of the defamation lawsuit, of course, is seeking to have Donald Trump give up his DNA so they can see if they match. If they match, he did it. If they don't, he didn't. Right? Pretty simple. If I were Trump denying this up and down, I'd say, Great. Take a cheek swab, let's get this over with and get it dismissed. But he doesn't want to do that, and I can't imagine why. So he has been arguing thanks to the United States Department of Justice representing him, that he made the defamation statements against Eugene Carroll calling her a liar, saying that she's not his type.

He would never rape somebody like that because she's not attractive to him. Um, that's the comments that she's suing over. He's argued in court that I made those as the president and because I was the president when I said these, I have immunity from being sued because you can't sue a president for what they say. It's actually, unfortunately a pretty good legal argument, right? Otherwise, we would have Republicans right now suing Joe Biden for, you know, attacking the mag freaks. But Donald Trump recently made a big oopsy. He took to truth social and he said this, it is a hoax and a lie, just like all the other hoaxes that have been played on me for the past seven years. And while I am not supposed to say it, I will. This woman is not my type. So he called her a liar and he once again said, Nope, you're not my type.

I would never rape you. The same things that got you sued in the first place, the same things that you're saying, Aha, you cannot come after me for this because I was president when I said them. You were, but you weren't president when you just said it on truth social last week. Uh oh. So what could happen now, according to former US attorney Barbara McQuaid, is that if her team refiles the lawsuit, they don't have to redo it from the beginning, but they can file an amendment to their lawsuit to include the recent statement. And if they did that, Donald Trump's immunity claims, which have already been struck down by court for the record, uh, would go out the window altogether the there he would have no possible argument that he has immunity from making these statements because he's not the president right now. So all they would have to do is file

This amended complaint to include the recent statements and then Trump is screwed. Right? He is screwed. Now, that doesn't mean that he is going to be compelled to give up his dna. We may never know the heart of that one, right? We may not be able to truly ever find out if he did in fact rape this woman in the 1990s in the department store, but he could still lose. He could still have to pay. And I think that's where we're at right now. So I hope that e Eugene Carroll's lawyers are paying attention. I hope they listen to Mrs. McQuaid because filing that one little amendment to that complaint could absolutely make this case a slam dunk.
