According to legendary Watergate journalist Bob Woodward, Donald Trump conned his own son, his young son, Barron, about how Covid actually made its way across the planet, and he has the audio tapes to back it up, because this is not, Oh, I heard from a person who heard this is Donald Trump explaining in his own words, because yes, there are tapes, because Donald Trump was stupid enough to let Bob Woodward record every moment of their conversations. And during a recent appearance on Monday on tv, Woodward played the tape of Donald Trump explaining on CNN how he conned his own little son. Here's what Trump said This is a March 19th, 2020. Barron was 13. asked how when he, whatever he is, talking to Barron. I said, It came outta China Barron, pure and simple. It came out of China and it should have been stopped. And to be honest with you, Barron, they should have let it be known. It was a problem. Two months earlier, the world wouldn't have a problem. We could have stopped it easily.

After they played that clip, Mr. Woodward told Jake Tapper, quote, My God, Trump is conning, not just me, but his son, and he is laying out, Oh, this could have been fixed. The Chinese could have done something about it. Donald Trump could have done something about it by being honest and warning the public that he as president has constitutional moral responsibility to do so. Even Woodward, like, holy crap, you just con your own son. He didn't say this to Trump, he said it to Jake Tapper, this week you conned your own son trying to make up for your shortcomings. Now listen, did the virus come out of China? Right? Is that where the first infection happened? As far as we know, yes. By the time anyone over there realized they were dealing with then an epidemic, not a pandemic, but an epidemic, by the time they even realized that and knew what we were dealing with, it had already left their borders, right?

Containment was no longer an option for them because it had already left, and they did, by the way, attempt to contain it. But then we saw cases start popping up in India. We saw cases start popping up in Italy. Then all throughout Europe, and I'm talking about in a matter of days, it's everywhere because people are spreading it, not knowing they had it. Yet. That was not China's fault, and the United States watching all of this happen all around the world, we didn't have any cases yet. Our president, Donald J. Trump, didn't do anything about it. We started getting cases, and then it spread like wildfire, a fire that to this day is still burning people. We are not through with this pandemic. It certainly is not through with us. But Trump lied to his own young son, Barron, 13 years old at the time. I don't know if Barron believed him. I don't know if Barron said, Okay, this guy's an idiot, whatever, dad, who knows? But the public knows. Public knows that Donald Trump screwed this up for everybody, but Trump will never admit that. He still, in his mind, I think, genuinely believed that China did this to hurt his chances in the 2020 midterms. But his failure is what led to more than a million people dead here in the United States. His refusal to take it seriously, as Bob Woodward points out, you know, trying to point fingers at everybody else instead of saying, Listen, I'm the president.
