3:34Now PlayingWhile promoting his "big political speech" that was really just more of the same, Donald Trump promised that he is about to kick his campaign into high gear with "wild and exciting" rallies. Nothing screams "wild and exciting" like watching an elderly man rant and rave like a lunatic about things that didn't actually happen, but that's what we can expect from the former president as he attempts to revive his failing campaign. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

On Thursday, Donald Trump teased a big political speech that was gonna happen at the, uh, Trump Dal in Miami, Florida. And as far as I can tell, I guess the speech happened because, uh, there's no headlines about it. There was nothing trending on Twitter. So really can't tell if Donald Trump even ended up giving that speech. But one thing he said in his teases really did stick out to me. Let me read this. This is what Trump put on truth social, making a big political speech today at Trump. Dal, um. Then he attacked the media for saying that he's not campaigning very hard. And he said The election's still a long time away, but do not fear many giant rallies and other events coming up soon. It will all be wild and exciting. Now it's the, it'll all be wild and exciting part that stuck out to me because Donald Trump did not capitalize those, he didn't even put an exclamation point at the end of that sentence saying, it's gonna be wild and exciting.
So instead it was, it'll be wild and exciting. Yay. Because who wouldn't want to go see a 76 year old elderly man say the same things that we've heard him say for the past two years? Donald Trump is of course, supposed to start doing rallies sometime very soon along with his kickoff of his campaign team in South Carolina. Lindsey Graham is gonna be there cuz you know, Lindsey Graham's a guy who can definitely pack the house. But the thing is, again, we're talking about a 76 year old man who will be 78 by the time the 2024 election rolls around. He'll be 77 this summer, so he's lost a step or two, right? I I, I think that's pretty obvious. But more importantly, he has nothing new to say. Every now and then, he still comes with the same energy at his rallies that he had in 2016.
The problem is the messaging. All he does is he gets up there and he winds about the 2020 election he whs about Hillary Clinton. Now of course he's gonna add into his repertoire the uh, Biden documents, but even that's already old. You're already saying the same thing over and over. You're gonna whine about the prosecutors and we're gonna see the same thing happen that we saw happen to him in his rallies over the summer. And that is he's gonna start talking and about 10 to 15 minutes later people are gonna head to the door that happened in his summer rallies. Think back to his, uh, announcement that he was running for president again on November 15th. They had to bl have security block the doors so people didn't walk out. That is how unenthusiastic the public is about Donald Trump. Now, that's not to say that he doesn't enjoy a huge support among Republicans, cuz he does. He is currently the front runner
In the polls. But at the same time, the more he goes out there, the more he puts himself out there, the more people look at him and just see a tired old man that really should just stay at his clubs and play golf.
