Next question is from Lori, l x n, who says, what can low income Iowans do to stop the Republicans here in Iowa from doing this? And then of course, there is a link to the story about the Iowa Republican party wanting to cut snap benefits so that they no longer cover, uh, meat, cheese, and white bread. Now, that, of course, is yet another story that also didn't get the kind of attention it deserves. And what can you do to stop it? What you can do is we can keep this story alive, we can continue talking about it. We can continue to point out the cruelty of these Republicans in the state of Iowa. And I, I know that also seems a little bit, you know, stupid. Like, okay, you can talk about it. What's that gonna do, Farron? Well, here's what it's gonna do. We just saw the Democratic Party actually get on message about the Republican tax plan to the point where one of the co-sponsors had to come out and say, I'm un co-sponsoring this.

So when the Democratic party is on message, when they have that message that resonates with the voters, when they can point out the cruelty of the Republican party and how they're screwing over the poorest people in this country, then yes, they can be victorious. We can get Republicans to back down, but it can't just be one voice. It can't be 10 voices. It has to be a united front that the Democrats put forth because this, uh, you know, bill that would make it to where, uh, people in food stamps, you can't buy meat, cheese, or white bread. There's no scientific basis for it. The point is the cruelty to say that we don't care about low income people in our state. We think you are lazy. Freeloaders that message going all the way back to Reagan's 1980, run for president. That's where this comes from.

And also bring that up because it's important to remember what's happening in today's Republican party was not put in motion by Trump. It wasn't put in motion by, by George Santos. A lot of this was put in motion by Ronald fricking Reagan himself. He is the cause of basically the entire Republican party platform of today, attack the poor, attack entitlement programs, blast labor unions, cut taxes for the wealthy. Those are the only things the Republicans know how to do policy-wise. Now, we've seen them do a lot more on the culture war side as well, but culture war to me is not necessarily policy, right? That's the red meat that by the way, actually won't be covered under this Iowa bill. So, but they take joy. I believe, I genuinely believe these Republicans take joy in demonizing low income Americans. They love it. I mean, it's hard to argue that they don't, right? When you look at what they do, when you look at their proposals, not just in Iowa, but across the country and at the federal level, it seems like they almost get off on attacking low income people and making their lives worse. That seems to be what they want to do. And unfortunately, today's Republican party is pretty dang good at it. Thanks
