Kevin McCarthy Agrees To Let Tucker Carlson Confuse The Public About Capitol Riot

Tucker Carlson and his team are now in possession of 41,000 hours of footage from the Capitol Riot, thanks to a decision by Kevin McCarthy. McCarthy had said he would release the material to the public, but instead the exclusive access has only been granted to the Fox News host. This is exceptionally dangerous, as it will allow Carlson to craft a narrative that runs counter-productive to what actually happened that day, and it could also put members of Congress in even more danger. This week, house speaker Kevin McCarthy decided to hand over 41,000 hours worth of footage from January 6th, 2021, the Capitol Riot exclusively to Fox News host Tucker Carlson. It is believed that McCarthy made this decision based on a deal that he had cut with some of the holdouts who did not wanna support him as speaker of the house. That is a rumor, uh, that has not yet been confirmed, I guess. But a lot of what took place in those backroom deals has not been confirmed or made public, so it's reasonable to think that that may have been one of the concessions McCarthy had to make. Either way, McCarthy had pledged back then that he was gonna make the 41,000 hours of tape public, but instead of making them public, he decided to hand it over only exclusively to Tucker Carlson, the man who has repeatedly for two years now downplayed the events of January 6th, said that, oh, it was just some light vandalism.

Oh, you had the FBI in there instigating this. There were Antifa people in there provoking the Capitol rioters, and now he has exclusive access to this footage, which is going to begin airing this week. And he can take whatever pieces of that footage that he wants cuz nobody else has the rest of it. And he can craft his own narrative about what actually happened that day. He can take multiple different camera angles that show people simply walking through the corridors, not doing anything wrong. He can probably find hours of that with all of the different camera angles that he has, and he will be able to tell his audience, look at these. There's hours of this. There's no pushing, there's no shoving, there's no fighting. It's all a big hoax. That is the power that he has because he has the tapes and he and his team can selectively edit everything on there.

That is the big danger with this. Again, we're talking about an individual who, through his top rated cable news program, has already been casting doubt on the events of January 6th for two years now. And now he is the only person that has access to this tape or these tapes, 41,000 hours. He and his team. If Kevin McCarthy had decided to put these tapes out there in the public domain, you know, say like, Hey, they're available at the Library of Congress. You can get 'em there. We're personally gonna send copies to every major media outlet out there. It would not have been that big of a deal because everybody would've been able to go through the tapes. And if somebody tried to craft a counter narrative, the other networks, the other reporters, investigative journalists, YouTube folks could have played the whole tape and said, aha, he cut this part off. He's a liar, shame

Him. But we don't have the chance to do that because only Tucker has the tapes. And then of course, you have multiple members of Congress who are already expressing their concern over the fact that these tapes, the camera angles, camera locations, things like that, can now be used to possibly plan another insurrection in 2024. That is the other danger. They're gonna get to see how people escaped, how members of Congress escaped, what corridors they used, what little secret passageways may exist, and Tucker Carlson will be able to show potential insurrectionists all of that information. This is a dangerous move and it's going to get more dangerous.
