Donald Trump's lawyer Joe Tacopina went on MSNBC on Tuesday evening, and the segment with host Ari Melber could not have gone worse for Trump's people. When Melber called out one of Trump's lies that Tacopina was repeating, Melber pulled out the receipts (a transcript of Trump's words) which led to Tacopina lunging across the table to grab the document from Melber's hands. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what happened.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump's lead lawyer, Joe Taina, decided to appear on MSNBC alongside host Ari Meur when Meur played a clip of Donald Trump, where he told reporters that he had no idea about the Stormy Daniels payment. And then Taina said, yeah, that's not a lie. Trump never knew about that. And then Ari Mel did what any good reporter slash journalist would do, and he pulled out the receipts, had his piece of paper in front of him, and it was at that point that Taina grew very upset, lunged across the table and tried to grab the receipt out of Ari Mel's hand. Here is the clip. Take a look at Donald Trump's lawyer being a little perturbed about being called out for their lies. Here he is. That's

Not a lie. Here's why it's not a lie. Could you put, did you know about this paper down? Did you, did you paper down? Lemme ask, did you know about this? No, I don't. We don't need that.

Let me just go ahead and say this in case anybody's curious about this. When your lawyer has to resort to attempting to literally pry evidence out of the hands of someone, you are not in a good state legally speaking, right? You never wanna see your lawyer say, oh, gimme that. No, no. Yeah, that's typically a sign that things aren't going so well for you. But that is exactly what Donald Trump's lawyer just did in that clip. Like, Hey, I have receipts. You ain't gimme that. Haha. Now you have nothing. I've never seen that. Like I, I've watched that clip a hundred times now and I'm still flabbergasted that that even happened. He was so afraid of being confronted with evidence that refuted his point Taina, was that he reached across the table to snatch it out of Ari Mel's hands.

I'm almost shocked that that clip has not been more viral than it already is, right? Like it was on social media. Ari Melba posted it, but my God folks, Donald Trump's lead lawyer, the guy that he is trusting to essentially keep him out of prison if he gets indicted in Manhattan, can't even handle somebody offering counter evidence. Like as a lawyer, that's your job. Your job is supposed to be a, uh, to be able to counter the evidence that the other side brings, that that's how lawsuits work. That's how prosecutions work. One side presents evidence. You don't get to go up and just snatch it out of their hands and say, oh, now you don't have this. What are you gonna do? No. You craft an argument to refute that evidence or explain it away somehow. When you have to result to resort to try to stealing the evidence out of their hands, it's a good sign that you've already lost.
