3:36Now PlayingA right wing MAGA troll on social media tried to mock Stormy Daniels by posting a viral image of a letter signed by Michael Cohen's lawyer in March of 2018 saying Trump wasn't involved in the hush money payment. This statement was obviously a lie, and Daniels fired back at the troll saying that she's having a great week and announced that she had just turned her phone records over to her lawyer which, as she says, are going to hurt Trump a lot. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

A MAGA loving Twitter troll. This week, actually on Thursday, tried to do a clap back to Stormy Daniels who has been fighting off these trolls left and right all week. And this particular troll posted a viral image that's been going around of the letter that Michael Cohen's then lawyer sent to investigators in 2018, March of 2018, where Cohen claimed that Trump had nothing to do with this. It was me. I didn't get reimbursed. Which it's important to note that this letter was sent to the investigators a month before Cohen was under federal investigation. And we now know that everything in that particular letter was a lie. But Republicans have unearthed it this week acting like, oh my God, it's the smoking gun. It proves this is all a farce. No, it doesn't. And I'll get more to that in a minute. By the way, even Eric Trump retweeted this uh, letter.
So anyway, this idiot Magoro on Twitter sends this tag Stormy Daniels and asks her, are you still laughing? You seem to have stopped tweeting obsessively about Trump, but I'm sure you're having the last laugh. To which Stormy Daniels replied, I'm sure I will. I've been handing over phone records to my attorney today. They're gonna hurt and planning spring break activities with my kid. It was a wonderful day. So Stormy Daniels, as we know, is very good at clapping back to these idiots on Twitter and yeah, I went through the guy's Twitter feed, absolutely idiot. He's retweeting fake news constantly. But here's the thing. That letter that this idiot thinks, oh my God, we totally got all you guys. Donald Trump did. Nothing wrong here. It's a farce. It is what the lawyer was supposed to do in arguing that my client didn't do anything wrong. Because the overall takeaway was that it was actually not an in-kind campaign contribution.
That's what that letter is about. It doesn't exonerate Donald Trump. It's the lawyer trying to argue to investigators, my client is innocent. Which for the record is what a criminal defense lawyer is hired to do. They legally have to do that. It wouldn't have looked so great if the lawyer had sent a letter saying, oh boy guys, well you wouldn't believe this, but my guy totally did all of the horrible that you're saying he did. Oh boy, man, y'all are gonna have a field day prosecuting this a-hole. Right? That that's not what lawyers do. They tell the courts, they tell the judges, they tell the investigators, my client is innocent, and all of these things you're alleging didn't happen. That's what that lawyer, uh, that's what that letter says. So it's kind of ridiculous that these Republicans are like, aha, we gotcha. But that's exactly what this idiot on Twitter tried to do to Stormy Daniels. And she's right. She'll have the last laugh, she turned over those phone
Records, and those phone records are likely going to prove that she was in constant contact. You got Michael Cohen who has recordings of conversations. Yeah, stormy Daniels is right. This information is really gonna hurt Donald Trump.
