On Wednesday, Trump took his strongest shot against DeSantis to date, calling out all of the horrible statistics on crime, education, and COVID that the state has lived through under DeSantis' tenure. With his recent attacks on Governor Ron DeSantis, Donald Trump is actually starting to sound more like a progressive commentator than a Republican politician. Donald Trump hit it. D uh, Ron DeSantis this week on the crime rate in Florida, the Covid death rate in Florida, the crappy education system that we're living under. And remarkably, everything that Donald Trump said is true, and I know that because those are all things that I have sat here at Ring of Fire and said on the air. So let me read you these posts that Donald Trump sent out on truth social this week. Now that Ron Des Sanctimonious is finally admitting he's in the race by beginning to fight back, and now that his polls have crashed. So he has no other choice. Let me explain the facts. He is for a Republican and average governor, he got 1.2 million less votes in Florida than me.

He fought for massive cuts in social security in Medicare and wanted social security minimum age to be raised to 70 years old or more. He is a disciple of Paul Ryan and did whatever Ryan told him to do in education. Florida ranks among the worst in the country and on crime statistics, Florida ranked third worst in murder, third worst in rape, and third worst in aggravated assault for 2022, Jacksonville was ranked as one of the top 25 major crime cities in the country with Tampa and Orlando, not doing much better on education. Florida ranks number 39 in health and safety in the country, number 50 in affordability, and number 30 in education, in childcare. Hardly greatness there. The fact is Ron is an average governor, but the best by far in the country in one category, public relations, where he easily ranks number one. But it is all a mirage.

Just look at the facts and figures. They don't lie. And we don't want Ron as our president, Donald Trump, welcome to the resistance. I guess. Um, listen, he's not wrong about those rankings here in the state of Florida, which by the way, it's not just because of DeSantis. We have had 25 years of solid Republican rule here in the state of Florida, and it's been horrible for our education system, for our health system, for our environment, for our economy. Every measure has gotten worse since Republicans solidified their control in the state of Florida. And as I pointed out earlier this week, uh, talking about the crime rate here, which is something Republicans love to hit the Democrats on in their Democratic states. Uh, Florida has actually seen an increase in violent crimes, murders, assaults, batteries, things like that, uh, but a decrease in property crime.

Whereas the out of control crime in New York that Republicans talk about, they've actually seen a reduction in violent crime, but an increase in property crime. So, like I've said, you're more likely to get killed here in Florida, but you're more likely to, uh, lose some money in the state of New York. I, I'd rather lose money than my life though. But again, these are true statistics. We're we're doing horrible in all of these measures that Trump talked about. He even talked about the Covid death rate. 86 plus thousand people dead from Covid.
