Republican representative Lauren Bobert, who recently of course announced that her 17 year old son had gotten his high school girlfriend pregnant, recently said during an interview with conservative talker Dave Rubin, that she doesn't like to nitpick what the Bible says. You know, obviously because she herself got pregnant at the age of 17, after her mother got pregnant with her at the age of 17. And now clearly just repeating that cycle of un or premarital sex, right? And, and conservatives tell us all the time the Bible's against that. And that's why of course, Lauren Bobert says, I don't wanna nitpick what the Bible says here is what she told Dave Rubin. Obviously I'm a Christian and there are standards that we like to uphold, but none of us do it perfectly. You know, one of the biggest things that I look to is him who knows to do right and doesn't.

It's sin. And I mean, there's things all throughout the week that I know is, is right to do and sometimes they don't do them. And so we can nitpick what the Bible says is right and wrong. But I think just having that, um, that that heart posture of wanting to serve God and do the right thing is so important so we can know what's right and wrong. And even if we choose to do wrong, as long as we know that we should have done what was right, as Lauren Bobert says, then you know, I mean that's what matters, right? The posture of the heart, whatever, whatever that means, like that's not even a real sentence. The posture of the heart is what matters. So what she's doing, of course, is excusing her horrifying behavior. She's excusing the behavior of her young son. I don't know how old the young woman is that her 17 year old son got pregnant.

Um, I have seen one uh, report that said she was 15. I have not been able to confirm that. Um, but that is the only number I have seen. And if so, that of course is very terrifying. But nevertheless, she is sitting there saying like, yeah, we can nitpick it all day. But why? If you know what's right and you still do what's wrong, as long as you didn't want to do what's wrong, but you did it anyway, isn't that what matters? No. No, Lord, that's actually worse. By the way, according to the Bible. If you know what's right and you know what's wrong and you choose to do wrong still, then yeah, that's pretty flipping bad. And that's what you're saying is okay, and you even admitted like, eh, throughout the week, I see some things like there's the right thing in the wrong thing and hey, I do the wrong thing. Jesus Christ. Really like you're a horrible person, but not because of that. Listen, granted, I'm the same way. I see things all the time, like, ah, the right thing to do.
