Trump Supporters Create Chaos For Ron DeSantis During New York Book Signing Event

A group of rabid Trump supporters derailed a book signing for Ron DeSantis in Long Island this past weekend, showing up and shouting at the Florida governor to "go home." DeSantis' book tour has so far been a disaster, and that's actually coming from Republican strategists that have observed what's going on, and if this is supposed to help launch his presidential run, then he's in serious trouble. Ron DeSantis has been on and off his little book tour in the last couple of weeks, and so far it hasn't been going well at all, according to Republican strategists. And they're pointing to a recent event. In fact, it was this past Saturday in Long Island, New York, where DeSantis showed up to sign some books, do a little speech, and then of course, later on in the evening hob knob with wealthy New York donors for his presidential campaign. That technically doesn't exist right now, but it totally exists. And when Ron DeSantis showed up at an aviation museum in Long Island to do his little book signing before he could get started signing books, a commotion began. The commotion was caused by a parade of vehicles waving their Trump flags. That pulled into the parking lot with people shouting, go home, DeSantis.

Then when DeSantis later on was giving a speech, he was heckled by Trump's supporters who had made it into the building, who were screaming at him, endorsed Donald Trump. This is not the first book sighting that Ron DeSantis has had interrupted by rabid Trump supporters, and it won't be the last either. No matter where DeSantis goes, he is always met by these angry Trump supporters who all now just hate him, and they want him to not run for president, and they want him to endorse Donald Trump because they still kind of like him, but as long as Trump tells them to hate him, they're gonna keep hating him. And then when Trump stops, they'll go back to loving him. So it's a weird dynamic, it's a weird relationship, but as it stands right now, Ron DeSantis is not looking good at all. In fact, things are going very poorly for Ron DeSantis as I'm, here's what one Republican strategist had to say word is, uh, they quietly rescheduled some stuff talking about is book tour, but it definitely feels like he's peeled some back.

I think the soft launch is having an effect. I, I think it's gone poorly. I hear nothing, but they are unhappy. So the only thing that this republican consultant, advisor, strategist, whatever you wanna call them, is hearing from the DeSantis camp, is that, wow, this is going bad. This is going so bad that we're actually gonna take events off the calendar. Fyi, if you're running for office and you've got events scheduled out in the future, and then you look around and you're like, you know what? Screw it. We're just not gonna do these things. That's a dying campaign. And that is apparently what is happening right now with Ron DeSantis. He had events scheduled, they were gonna do things, but now very quietly we're just, we're just peeling 'em back. We're not gonna do these things. The book tour is

Not going well. We're met with opposition everywhere we go from our own party. Yeah, DeSantis continues to lose ground in the polling data, and it's not going well. Florida voters are kind of getting tired of it nationwide. People are getting sick and tired of hearing about woke. They're sick and tired of the Republican culture wars Republicans are losing, and DeSantis right now happens to be the one leading them down that losing path. So it is what it is. Maybe Ron DeSantis will take a break for a while, disappear, let the public forget about him for a couple weeks, then maybe try it again. But as it stands right now, if he's planning on launching a bid for president anytime soon, it's not gonna get a very warm reception.
