4:15Now PlayingOn Tuesday morning, Donald Trump sent out a post on Truth Social about his CNN town hall that is scheduled for tonight. Trump predicted that it could either be the best thing to ever happen to the network, or it could be a disaster for everyone involved - including himself. Trump is trying to hype up the event in order to draw more eyeballs, that way no matter what happens he can declare it a smashing success. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

So before Donald Trump was found liable by a jury in that Eugene Carroll Defamation and Assault trial yesterday, he was out there on truth social, pumping up the fact that tonight he is gonna be on that CNN Town Hall in New Hampshire. And boy is he excited and also apparently a little bit terrified. Here's what Donald Trump put on Truth social yesterday morning and again, this is before all of the trial stuff with the verdict. I'll be doing CNN tomorrow night, live from the great state of New Hampshire, because they are rightfully desperate to get those fr uh, fantastic Trump ratings once again. They made me a deal I couldn't refuse. Could be the beginning of a new and vibrant CNN with no more fake news, or it could turn into a disaster for all, including me. Let's see what happens Wednesday night at eight o'clock. I love how you can't take the showman out of Trump like it could be the greatest thing ever, or it could be a total disaster.
Find out tomorrow night, eight o'clock on cnn, n n like you are. You are having to be your own hype man because nobody else will do it, because nobody else gives a. But again, this was before that verdict. And of course, Donald Trump's mood went a little south for the rest of the day. The fact that CNN is still planning on hosting this town hall a day after Donald Trump was held civilly liable for the assault of Eugene Carroll. This is disgusting from cnn. Now I know a week ago when I actually thought the town hall was last week. My apologies for that by the way. Um, I said, look, I don't care if CNN does this. I think the best case scenario is that Trump looks stupid. Worst case scenario, he looks like an absolute train wreck after yesterday's verdict. And what that verdict now means for Donald Trump.
I do now think it is disgusting that CNN is moving forward with this. CNN should cancel. They should tell Donald Trump, listen, we don't deal with people who are basically found to have done what you allegedly did. We're not going to give you two hours of free airtime. We are not going to let you get on our network and spread lies about this woman who just won a defamation lawsuit against you. Because after all, if C N N does that, they may find themselves liable at this point. And I hope they understand that If you do not jump in immediately when Donald Trump starts lying about Eugene Carroll tonight, which he will like, there's literally no way that's not gonna come up. If you do not jump in and correct those lies and allow them to go out on your airwaves, you are opening yourself up for a defamation lawsuit as well. We already know that Eugene Carroll has the tools to win at C N N. I don't think you do. So putting Donald Trump on the air is a very stupid
Idea. But I do have to say I agree with Donald Trump. This could be a complete disaster for him. I've thought from the beginning it's gonna be a disaster for him. Donald Trump does not do well in a town hall setting. He does not do well when members of the audience get to ask him tough questions. He does not do well one-on-one. He doesn't do well in debates, period. There is no good that is going to come out of this for Donald Trump, and I think that's what CNN is banking on. They would rather pull in those ratings cuz God knows they're gonna get tons of ratings. Hell, I'm gonna unfortunately have to watch it tonight. I don't want to, but I am. They're gonna get all those ratings, they're gonna get all those eyeballs.
