Biden Laughs In Fox Host's Face When He Suggests Pardoning Donald Trump

As he was departing for Delaware earlier this week, President Biden was asked by Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy about whether or not he would consider pardoning Donald Trump - prefacing it by saying that Ron DeSantis has already said that he would. President Biden didn't give a word as a response, and instead laughed at Doocy's suggestion before departing. Earlier this week as he was preparing to head off to Delaware for a couple of days, I believe it was Memorial Day, uh, reporters were able to, uh, get just a brief moment to talk to President Biden. And of course, Fox News Peter Ducey steps up, asks a stupid question like he always does. But it's a question that honestly needed to be answered. Ducey brought up the fact that Ron DeSantis recently said that he would in fact, pardon Donald Trump if he wins the presidency. So Ducey asked Biden, uh, he said, where are you on the idea of president's pardoning Trump? And here is how President Biden responded to being asked such a stupid question. Take a look, a laugh, and then an Okay, I'll see you guys. Great question. Kind of a condescending, fun little remark there with a return of dark brand, then I guess I liked it, right?

I liked that response. I, I think it was appropriate, but I also think it's not the response that we needed as a country. As much as I like how President Biden handled that situation. I like it when he laughs in their faces. I, I think those folks deserve that, especially Peter Ducey. Um, we as a public wanted to hear No, no, I would not ever consider that. And maybe that's what that laugh meant, but we didn't hear the words and we gotta hear those words. The other day, Friday evening, uh, I was doing the Young Turks and, uh, host, Jen Yer was talking about the fact that he is very concerned that Biden could end up pardoning Donald Trump. And honestly, prior to that, that was not something I'd thought of. And now of course we do have Peter Ducey out there putting it out there in the ether. Would you consider pardoning Donald Trump? And we didn't get a No.

I want to hear that. No, I want to hear President Biden say, under no circumstances would I ever consider pardoning Donald Trump, but I don't think we're ever gonna hear that. I don't think that's a thing that is ever going to come out of President Biden's mouth. Maybe it's politically driven. Maybe it's because he hasn't actually made up his mind. I don't know. I think it is more the political side. I think he doesn't wanna wade into that right now. I don't think he wants whatever words he would say yes or no being used against him in a campaign. Of course, it's the whole political speak. You gotta be careful what you say. You gotta be careful what you don't say. So laughing off the question is a response that is not just funny, but it's actually a response that also protects him and insulates him from anyone accusing him of saying he would or would not pardon Donald Trump. By not giving an answer,

He's actually saving his answer for later. And nobody can claim one way or the other that he is or is not going to do a certain thing. It's not the answer that we wanted. It's not the answer that we needed. But in terms of self-preservation, it's the best possible response that Biden could have given in that situation.
