Hey, Farin, how about telling all the people about how social security is a tax only on the poor? After you make 160,000, you don't pay it anymore. If we would increase the, the ceiling to say, you know, 5 million there, there'd be no problem with security or Medicare. Uh, that's absolutely true. By the way, once you hit that certain income level, you are no longer subjected to the social security tax, which makes no sense at all. Okay? Republicans are out there telling us all the time, social security's insolvent social's gonna run outta money. Okay, well, so what if we taxed people who make over 160,000 and made them pay the social security tax as well? It's not even that big of a tax. Like let's just have them pay it. Well, no, you can't because then suddenly that is socialism. And we don't, we don't know what that word means, but, uh, that's bad.

No, they, they, they could afford to do it, and they should do it because we are a country, a country that is, I know Repa, who know we're a republic, we're a democracy. We're actually a democratic republic, I mean, democratic is the first word. And of course, a republic is a form of democracy where people are elected by the citizens. That is by definition a democracy. So by being a democracy, everybody has a voice, and it is the duty of that government elected by those people to protect those voices. And part of the protecting of those voices are our programs like Social Security and Medicare. So in order to ensure that those programs do not go insolvent as Republicans tell us they are, we should be taxing people who make the most money to help pay for the programs. We're not even asking that they be taxed at a higher rate than the rest of us. I'm sure there's probably some people saying that, but I'm not saying it like, just keep the Social Security tax for the entire amount of money that you make. It's not that weird of a concept. It's not a stupid idea. And it is a way to guarantee that these programs do not ever end up on the chopping block, which is exactly where Republicans have them right now.
