Far and I keep seeing these absurd comments from Trump and Mags that Democrats will make this country a communist one. How is that possible when Trump is the one acting as a dictator himself? They don't know what socialism and communism are. Someone just said it and they keep repeating it as an attack, and it is now a crazy broken record. Um, you're a hundred percent right. I mean, honestly, I don't even know that there's anything I can add to your comment and question here because it's right. Republicans have seen these words. They know that these words have negative connotations. They don't know what they mean. I mean, they have literally been asked, what does it mean? And they can't answer it, but they're gonna keep using it. I mean, hell, Marjorie Taylor Greene, every time she talks, something is gonna be labeled as communist or something is gonna be labeled as socialist.
Or every now and then, folks, they like to throw in this communist socialist, Democrat, blah, blah. Like not even realizing that those words are not interchangeable. They throw them around so much that they think, oh, they all mean the same thing. It's, it's, it's stupid, but we're dealing with stupid, the likes of which we've never had in this country. Not because we're dumber than ever, but because there's more microphones than ever Twitter. Everybody with a Twitter account is a microphone. Everybody with a podcast, everybody with a YouTube channel, everybody with a Facebook page, those are all microphones. So anytime one of these hardcore mega freaks, anytime one of these Republican politicians get out there, they put something on Twitter, they put it on Facebook, whatever it is, it's a microphone. So the reason things seem dumber today, and the reason Republicans say dumber things is because there's more people finally paying attention because we all have microphones and we all have the, the outlets to input into us.
So they're gonna keep using these words again, even though they can't define them, they don't know what they are, but hey, they think it plays well. They think people respond pretty well to it. Cuz you get the Democrats all mad about it. You get Republicans all righteously mad about it, say, we're fighting the communist socialists on the left, and, and nobody, nobody on the right ever stops to think, wait, wait, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. What's, what's that mean? Like, can, can you define these things? Like we have nothing even close to communism here in the United States. Like, not even close. I mean, we barely have anything close to socialism. I think the closest we have obviously would be Medicaid, Medicare, and Social security. True democratic socialist countries, like the ones that Bernie Sanders talks about. We're talking about European countries, you know, Western Europe.
Those countries that are like, Hey, guess what? You don't have to pay for your college That's on the state. We want our population to be educated, so we're gonna take care of that cost for you. Yes, it costs you more in taxes, but that's the price you pay for having these things. Same thing with healthcare, same thing with childcare, same thing with maternity leave, paternity leave in those countries, that's socialism. But republicans want to act like no. Socialism is when you go out there and you've taken over these industries, we're not taking over any industries. It's not gonna happen. Those industries are too entrenched in our politics to even allow for that. All we're saying is, Hey, guess what? Maybe people shouldn't die from illnesses just because they can't afford to go to the doctor. But again, republicans don't care about definitions, so they're gonna keep using these words that they can't define because they think it makes for a pretty awesome attack.
