5:16Now PlayingLawyers with cases before the Supreme Court - including lawyers who recently had partners argue against affirmative action in college admissions - sent money to a top aide of Justice Clarence Thomas using the payment app Venmo. The charges claim that the money was for a "Clarence Thomas Christmas Party," but that has only raised even more questions about the legality of these payments to the aides. Thomas and his staff appear to be corrupted to the core, and he must be removed to restore some sort of legitimacy to the Court, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Apparently we have now hit the point where, like George Santos earlier this year, we can't seem to go more than two days without a new story about how corrupt Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas really is. We found out this week, according to a new report, that there were multiple payments made to a top aid of Clarence Thomas by lawyers from law firms who had cases in front of the United States Supreme Court, but they weren't sending checks. Oh, no. God no. These lawyers who had cases in front of the Supreme Court were sending Clarence Thomas's top aid, uh, Rajan, uh, va. They were sending him money via Venmo, and oddly enough, all of these payments, which were not sent any time around December, they all say that they were for, well, here's what they were listed as, Christmas party, Thomas Christmas party, ct, Christmas party CT for Clarence Thomas, or CT X Christmas party, seven payments from seven lawyers, and I take it back.
They actually were from November and December of 2019, so I guess it was around Christmas. Um, but why? Right? That's what we don't understand. Why are these lawyers paying for Clarence Thomas's Christmas party? Clarence Thomas is free to have a Christmas party and invite lawyers to come to his Christmas party. So long as those lawyers do not have business in front of the Supreme Court, these lawyers did. So inviting them to your Christmas party, knowing they have cases pending, or knowing that they're frequently in front of the court, that's already a big no-no. But then these lawyers paying for your Christmas party, that makes no sense. That makes absolutely no sense.
It also, I gotta be honest, it it, it raises significant flags to me that all of them mentioned Christmas party and Sure. If they were paying for a Christmas party, yeah, they're all gonna mention it. It, it's too uniform. It, it's honest to God, it is too uniform. I, I, I'm almost speechless at this level of corruption. I'm absolutely at a loss when trying to find out, figure out, make sense of any of this, because to me, this seems like straight up, we're sending you money rule our way on the case. That's what it looks like to me. Hey, if you do it at this time of year, just mark it as Christmas party, which even that would be illegal for these people to pay for his Christmas party. Thi this is nuts. Clarence Thomas doesn't just needs to be, need to be impeached. Clarence Thomas needs to be put on trial at this point.
I, we, we, we've, God dog it gotta do something here. Again, I'm speechless. I've read this story 10 times, but actually having to sit here and talk about it, the, the reality of it hits you in a different way. And I'm sorry if I'm kind of stuttering, but again, I, I, I just don't know. The, the corruption with Clarence Thomas is overwhelming now. So Republicans can talk about, oh, the Democrats are weaponizing the fbi. They had another hearing yesterday. Oh, the Hunter Biden, eh, y'all shut the F up about all that right now because we have a very serious problem that threatens our very democracy because we got the most corrupt son of a possible sitting on that United States Supreme Court, and his name is Clarence Thomas, and y'all aren't doing a thing about it. This, this is bull. This is bull crap.
The Democratic party needs to get their crap together right now.
