Republican politicians have taken a significant beating at the polls ever since Roe V Wade was overturned last summer, so they are now trying to rebrand their unpopular position as being a "pro baby" platform. But that's not what their position is about at all, as their support for babies ends the second that they are born. According to new reports, Republicans, republican politicians across the country have finally come to the realization that, hey, being the big party of stripping women of the right to choose what to do with their own bodies is not working for us at all. In special elections over the last year and a half, ever since Roe versus Wade was overturned, Republicans got pummeled. When they've put anti-abortion bills up for the public to vote on, even in red states, they've been defeated. And of course, in last year's midterms, Republicans had predicted a 70 seat advantage and ended up with a 10 seat advantage. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that voters were about the overturning of Roe versus Wade. They were off about all these states pushing legislation to restrict a woman's right to choose. And they took it out on the Republicans.

So according to these new reports, Republicans have finally said, you know what? We need to rebrand ourselves because pro-life, you know, eh, it doesn't really mean what we want it to mean. So instead, they are now workshopping new images, you know, new branding, new new catchphrases to sell to the public, including saying that we're the pro baby party, the pro baby party. I mean, why don't you just come out and say, we're the little kid lovers. I mean, you're gonna have just as much impact by saying that, right? Here's the problem Republicans have, and this is why they've struggled with the pro-life moniker, because they're not pro-life and they actually know that. And that's why they're struggling with it. Because they have obviously been repeatedly called out for decades now for not being about life, just being about forced birth. Because once that baby exits the birth canal, Republicans are like, you're on your own. Don't come to me for help. Oh, you want paid maternity leave? You can go to hell. Oh, but don't even think about getting on, uh, welfare if you lose your job for being on maternity leave. 'cause we're stripping that away from you too, to hell with these babies, these needy little, you know, uh, moochers, get a job, you infant.

But if it's in the mother's, you know, wo, then oh my God, we gotta protect it. It's the greatest, greatest gift of humanity. But again, as soon as they take their first breath, they're like, get outta here, baby. We don't like you. So calling yourselves pro baby does actually not fix that. In fact, it only reminds people that you're not pro baby. You're, you're mostly just kind of pro fetus. Because if you were pro baby, you would support universal healthcare that allows women to get the care for both themselves and the child as soon as they get pregnant. I mean, pregnancies in the United States cost thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars. Babies are very expensive.

Formula is expensive. Bottles are expensive. The the materials needed to to breast pump are expensive. Constant doctor's visits are expensive. So if you were pro baby, you'd be doing something about that. Childcare is expensive. Maternity leave is not granted. It's not guaranteed. Neither is paternity leave. So if you were pro baby, those are the things that you would be fixing. So if you wanna try to rebrand yourselves, rebrand your effort to take away women's rights, to choose what to do with their own body, be my guest, just understand that whatever word you use is not gonna change the fact that you don't give a about any human being once they leave the womb. And your policies over the last few decades have proven that.
