Trump Security Chief Intervened To Stop Mar a Lago Security Footage From Being Deleted

According to new reports, it was Donald Trump's own chief of security that prevented his Mar-a-Lago staffers from deleting the security footage from the resort after he had been subpoenaed by authorities. The security chief, Matthew Calamari, Jr., became aware of the efforts to deleted the footage and immediately contacted the legal department at Trump's own organization to get them to stop the footage from being deleted. According to a new report from the New York Times, it was in fact one of Donald Trump's own employees, actually, his chief of security for the Trump organization in New York that intervened to stop several of his Mar-a-Lago employees from deleting the security footage. That, of course, showed the moving of the classified documents. Now that chief of security, uh, man, by the name of, uh, Matthew Calamari Jr. Said that he had learned, or the report says that Calamari had learned that Yuel Tovar, the former IT director, ed Mar-a-Lago, who of course has now agreed to testify against Walt nata and Mr. Di Oliviera said that he learned this man had been asked to delete the security footage. And after two separate occasions where Mr. Tavares refused to delete the security footage, Mr. Calamari went to the legal department at the Trump organization according to this report, and had them intervene to send a stern warning to all Mar-a-Lago employees that you can't delete the footage.

Now, what this story tells me is that this shows intent, all right? The, the testimony from Tavaris would be enough probably to prove intent, but the fact that you now have, at least according to the report, we'll see what happens when the thing goes to trial next. May you have other employees that weren't even at Mar-a-Lago, who knew that Trump was trying to delete the security footage. That's a massive revelation. And if this were in front of any other judge in the country, I would be willing to say a hundred percent at this point, Trump's going to get convicted. But of course, because this case, the documents case is in front of Judge Eileen Cannon, a Trump appointee who's done everything she can to protect him, that's the wild card, right? Anything can happen at this point, but the facts of this case are becoming so overwhelming that I don't even know if Judge Cannon can interfere with this enough to get Trump off.

We now have other witnesses. Calamari, of course, is one of them that, I guess the entire Trump organization, legal department that could be called at that trial to say what they know to tell this story that the New York Times just told. And that is absolutely going to be horrific for Donald Trump. So even if you've got a jury in a Trump friendly district made up of Trump supporters, they're going to hear that this man knew he was defying a congressional subpoena. This man knew he wasn't legally allowed to have these documents, and this man knew that there was damaging evidence out there,

And that he tried to have it destroyed. Now, as far as we know from the, uh, indictments, none of the security footage was actually deleted. So it does still exist, and I'm sure now that the D O J of course has it, that's probably going to be played. We're going to see the moving of the boxes, the moving of the documents and all of that. But it's the testimony from these individuals where they're going to say, yes, Trump directed this. Yes, he wanted us to delete the footage. That could be the final nail in the coffin in that case.
