Just when you thought the Republican presidential primary couldn't get any dumber, the media has become hyper-focused on Ron DeSantis' high heeled boots. The Florida governor has been relentlessly mocked over his footwear that makes him appear taller, and some outlets have even reached out to "footwear experts" to confirm that the governor is wearing lifts in his shoes. If you wanna get an idea of just how screwed up and painfully stupid the Republican primary is. Politico, this week put out an article where they talked to, not one, not two, but three different boot makers here in the United States. And all of these three boot makers confirmed based on their visual analysis of Ron DeSantis footwear that the governor of Florida is in fact wearing lifts in his shoes so that he appears taller. It was a big piece by Politico. They went out, they did an investigation, right? We're talking to the people who make shoes out here, folks, and they're saying, Ron DeSantis is wearing lifts in his shoes. Now, of course, Donald Trump, the front runner in the Republican primary, has attacked Ron DeSantis over his footwear. I mean, I've even gotten on social media, I think I may have done a segment or two on it as well, laughing at Ron DeSantis weird shoes where the toes were all curled up and creepy looking.

But why are we talking about Ron DeSantis shoes? I mean, again, I admit, I I, I've fallen into that trap as well, but is that really where we're at in this Republican primary? Like we are having to resort to his Ron DeSantis wearing lifts in his shoes. Is he wearing high heeled boots? And of course, people on social media laughing and mocking him, you know, oh, good thing is drag ban was overturned in court. 'cause you know, he may be violating it with his high heels. And that's, that's humorous, right? You're pointing out his hypocrisy there. And I like it. Don't get me wrong, don't stop. It's fun. But, but, but this is a man who is running for president of the United States. I live in, hi, his state of Florida. Okay? Florida's going to hell. But right now, Florida is in serious trouble. It's in serious trouble because of the policies and the lack of attention that Ron DeSantis has been, uh, paying to actual problems that Floridians are suffering under. If you wanna attack Ron DeSantis do it all day long, I'm not gonna stop you, but can we please attack him over something that actually matters? I I, I don't care if he's wearing lifts in his boots. I don't care if he shows up at the next Republican debate wearing thigh high boots. It, it'd be funny, but it, it's not like it doesn't matter like, I cannot stress that enough. Can we stop with the stupid talk? Why did Politico have to send reporters out there to talk to the boot makers to get to the bottom of this? It's not a scandal. A scandal is the fact that we have 15 insurance companies that have fled the state of Florida, Florida in the last year,

And people are now fleeing the state because they can't get homeowner's insurance. A scandal is the fact that he abused his power as governor to punish an international multi-billion dollar corporation 'cause they disagreed with him. A scandal is the fact that this man is pulling books off the shelves of Florida classrooms and punishing teachers for trying to teach their students real American history. Those are the things that Ron DeSantis should be attacked over. I don't care about his feet. I don't care how tall he is. I don't care if he's one foot tall or eight feet tall. None of that changes the fact that this man is a dangerous authoritarian leader that is currently leading his state of Florida straight into the depths of hell. That is what the media should be talking about instead of his stupid looking shoes.
