4:37Now PlayingSouth Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is still dealing with blowback from her new book, and it isn't just because of her dog murdering story. Since that scandal broke, numerous other lies have been identified in her book, calling into question her entire life story. She lied about meeting Kim Jong Un, she lied about denying a visit to the President of France, and she even lied about an alleged "threat" that she received from Nikki Haley. Noem was a rising star in the GOP until she published that book, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

The fallout from Christie No's new book, ironically tired, uh, uh, titled no Going Back, uh, continues to this day. Not just by the way about her murdering the dog and then murdering the goat in her little gravel murder pit that she has on her property, but about the numerous inaccuracies that she has published in this fake memoir, which I do believe calling it a fake memoir is the best way to describe it. Now, after all of these accounts that she has listed in the book have turned out to be false, the biggest one, of course was her claim that she met Kim Jong-Un, right? She went and she confronted the dictator of North Korea while she was in Congress. That's a pretty big step, right? I mean, traveling overseas to a hostile country, confronting a dictator. Nome wrote, I remember what I met. North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-Un, I'm sure he underestimated me, having no clue about my experience staring down.
Little tyrants, I'd been a children's pastor, after all be, because those are, those two things are exactly the same, aren't they? Yeah. You could send any children's pastor in this country to go over and confront Kim Jon Gun. I'm absolutely positive of it, right? This is, this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Um, but it also never happened. And her book publisher, her spokesperson actually has had to come out and be like, yeah, that actually didn't happen. So she's telling this story like I stared him down and he was intimidated. And then they're like, well, actually it didn't it. That's not a thing that ever happened. And here's the thing is there's, there's no way that Kristi Noam didn't know that this didn't happen and that it was in the book. 'cause she is the only author listed. Plus she actually did the reading of it for the book on tape.
So you knew this was in there and you knew it didn't happen. You were just waiting for the media to point out that you're a bald faced liar before you're like, oh yeah, sorry. Don't know how that got in there. You, you do know how it got in there. You're the only author. You read the book out loud. You knew this was in there. That's not the only one. She also tells the story of how she denied a meeting with the French president, Emmanuel Macron, because she didn't like his stance on the Israel Hamas War. And Macron's office, of course, had to, uh, come out and issue a statement saying that also never happened. Uh, she was never invited here. We were never invited there. So we don't know what she's talking about. But that's not a thing that happened. And then she was busted in the book lying about Nikki Haley threatening her. And Haley's camp came out and said, the only communication these two have had is when Nikki Haley called her to congratulate her on her political career. So all of these things, all of these stories that Nome has told in her book, standing up to foreign leaders, standing up to people
In this country being threatened by members of her own party, because what she was doing, all of it's fake, like the only time she was honest in the book that we know of is when she was like, yeah, I kill dogs. What of it, like, if, if, if anything in the book was going to be fake, like that would be the thing you would want to be not true. But so far, the only time you were being honest is when you were talking about slaughtering innocent little animals.
