4:50Now PlayingAllies close to Donald Trump are preparing to turn the FBI into his personal revenge department, with purges and "restructuring" plans to make sure he will never be told "no." This is a part of the Project 2025 plan to remake the federal government, but voters need to understand that this isn't just a vague concept - they have plans written out that will immediately take effect if Trump gets sworn in to a second term. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

According to a major new report from Reuters, Donald Trump's allies are planning on turning the FBI into his own personal attack dog for conservative causes. In fact, they said it's going to be an attack dog for conservative causes. Those are their exact words. Let me read you this. The planning question contains two parts. According to the sources who spoke to Reuters. First you flood the Justice Department with stalwart conservatives, unlikely to say no to controversial orders from the White House, and then you restructured the department. So key decisions are concentrated in the hands of administration. Loyalists rather than career bureaucrats. Initiatives will include eliminating the FBI's general counsel, which enraged Trump during his presidency by approving an inquiry into his 2016 campaign's, contacts with Russian government officials, Steve Bannon told Reuters quote, it's not just personnel. You do need to purge the DOJ, but you also need to reform it.
Now, this of course, is part of the project 2025 that is being spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation to essentially remake the entire federal government and and fire as many as 50,000 government employees to replace them with Donald Trump's SCO offenses. And they have already gone through the screening process for some of these people, by the way, you know, asking them very stern questions about their loyalty to Donald Trump to see if they would fit in in any government position, if he takes over next January by winning this year's election. And I think the important thing about this story, because we've talked about Project 2025, we've talked about their plans, we've, Donald Trump has made it clear he's gonna turn his entire administration into one that's only out for vengeance. But here's the thing, people need to understand that this is not just some idea that they have, okay?
It's not some vague concept that a couple of people have chit chatted about here, about here and there. They have plans. The plans are written out. This is no longer hypothetical. This is what they are going to do. Okay? They have the plans written out and ready to go. So day one, they will start doing this. This is not hyperbole, this is not, oh, maybe they will, maybe they won't. They have the action plan ready to go. They have the documents, they're literally interviewing people. Folks, if that doesn't scare the bejesus outta you and let you know what is at stake in this year's election, then I don't know what will. This is an administration that if it gets into office, will be
About nothing but vengeance. And you may think that, oh, you know what? Ah, there's no difference between Trump and Biden. If you're one of those people who think that there is no daylight between Trump and Biden, then you either are not smart enough to talk about politics or you're clearly not paying attention. Am I saying that President Biden is perfect and that I agree with a hundred percent of things he's done? Absolutely not. So please do not take it that way. But what I am telling you is that Biden is not going to turn the United States Department of Justice into an agency that's out there to get revenge for him. And Donald Trump literally has plans to do that.
