Donald Trump had a big oopsie do moment this week when he told a local news station during an interview that his campaign was, quote, looking into restricting birth control access here in the United States. In fact, he went as far as to say that, you know, they're gonna have a pretty big policy on that released very soon. Here's his quote. The question was, do you support any restriction on a person's right to contraception? And Trump says, we're looking at that, and I'm going to have a policy on that very shortly. Things really do have a lot to do with the states, and some states are going to have different policy than others.

So here is Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, he wants to be the next president of the United States, telling us that they're looking into restricting contraceptive access here in the United States. That, of course, did not go over well with really anyone including Republicans, which then led Donald Trump hours later after this interview, by the way, was taken offline because gotta protect Donald Trump, he then later came out on Truth Social and said, I have never and will never restrict contraceptive access here in the United States. Nope, totally not a thing that's gonna happen. Even though this is actually not the first time he has said that. In fact, it's not the second time he said that, I think it's like the third or fourth time he has said it. He said it multiple times in an April 12th interview, he said, I feel very strongly about it. I actually think it's a very important issue.

And then of course, said we'd have a policy in a couple weeks. Then again, on April 27th in a follow-up interview, he said over the next week or two they would go ahead and have a policy on that. Then on April 30th, he did it again. So he has repeatedly let us know that, hey, we're thinking about restricting contraceptive access here in the United States. Repeatedly said it, not just this week, multiple times. When they show you who they are, believe them, folks. If you want access to contraceptives, do not vote for Republicans. If you want reproductive health freedom for yourself, do not vote for Republicans. They are taking us with these insanely draconian proposals back to the Dark Ages at this point. This is beyond bonkers. I mean, this is beyond Handmaid's Tale type stuff, folks. This is what they want to do. They're telling us this is what they want to do. I don't know what more it's going to take to get through to the rest of the voters in the country that this is what they're planning.

And Donald Trump, of course, oh, he's waffled on it. Yes, I'm gonna do it. I'm thinking about it. No, of course I'm not gonna do it. Never in a million years. He'll do what Republicans tell him to do once he gets in office. Once he gets in office, no holds barred, right? He'll do whatever the Republicans want him to do. He'll do his own revenge stuff as well. That's another thing. But if they put this bill in front of him, he'll do it. So if you care about access to contraception, you know which party not to vote for this coming November.
