Last week, Donald Trump's shortlist of potential running mates was made public, as the potential picks were sent vetting information by Trump's campaign. And the list is nothing short of horrifying. All of the people are considered hard right extremists, with some masquerading as "normal." But don't be fooled - these people are ready to strip away your rights at the first opportunity, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Last week, Donald Trump's campaign, of course it was reported, had sent out vetting material to a list of people that are potential vice presidential picks for the convicted felon. That list of people includes JD Vance, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Tom Cotton, Byron Donalds, Elise St. Uh, North Dakota Governor, Doug Bergham and Ben Carson. So several African Americans, several people with military experience, and of course, one woman. Donald Trump's weakest. Part of his support is with suburban women, and he's got one woman on the list. And it's basically a woman that has kissed his better than anybody else's, kissed his. So not exactly a strong list of contenders here. Now they say there could be more, right? This is not the final list. There could be more, there could be fewer, we don't know. But any one of these people would be beyond horrific as Donald Trump's running.

Mate, let's start with some obvious things. Marco Rubio is not gonna get it. JD Vance, though he has been a loyal Trump supporter after not being a loyal Trump supporter is too inexperienced. He's not gonna get it. That would be a big mistake. Byron Donalds, right? His recent, uh, fiasco, we will call it. Probably not a good pick. You know, the same week you're being vetted to come out and, uh, basically make these horrific racial comments. Probably not gonna bode well in your favor, but then you've got the other folks, right? Oh, Ben Carson. Ben Carson is not liked, so that ain't gonna happen. He has no energy. He's very, you know, just kind of blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. He ain't gonna win. He proved that in the Republican primary eight years ago. So that leaves Tim Scott, Tom Cotton, Byron Donalds, and Doug Bergham, or not Byron Donalds, excuse me, Scott Cotton bergham.

Tim Scott, I think is high up there in the running. I do think he is definitely a, a real contender here. Uh, Stefanik, I think she is as well, by the way. Um, Tom Cotton, that one's a little odd. I I, I don't know that he's a genuine choice, so, okay, probably not. But he's a loyal Trump supporter, so that's why he is on the list. And then of course, Doug Bergham, right? Bergham governor. He's not seeking reelection this year, so he's got nothing to lose. He went to Donald Trump's trial to support him, and he's also been an exceptionally far right governor, right? The anti L-G-B-T-Q laws, the, uh, near total abortion ban. So he, even though he may not seem as extreme,

Because he is not as well known, has been an exceptionally extremist as a governor. Oh, and by the way, he's also a billionaire. In case you didn't know, he's a self-made billionaire, right? I did a lot of digging into him. He made his fortune himself so good for him. But, uh, he's a billionaire. Trump likes that because a billionaire doesn't just bring his political experience, he brings his wallet with him. So if you were to ask me, if I had to pick right now, who would Trump pick? It would probably be Doug Bergham. And then the press has to play catch up. You know, they gotta do all the digging that I had to do for this segment. Go back and look at his history as governor and realize how horrible it is. He's got a couple of spots that aren't so bad, but the bad far outweighs the not so bad. But either way, if he picks any person that is currently on this list that is bad for this country, there is not one single normal person on this list. Just a bunch of suck up a bunch of extremists, and that's what Donald Trump wants to serve with him.
