House Republicans Have Ridiculously Stupid Legislative Ideas To Honor Trump

Instead of working on vital legislation that could improve the lives of American citizens, Republicans in Congress are tripping over themselves in order to come up with the most ridiculous ways to honor Trump. One lawmaker wants to put Trump on the $500 bill, while another wants airports named after him, and still another wants to give him the Congressional medal of honor. This isn't just about sucking up to Donald Trump - this is about trying to anger the Left, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Now, as we all know, I've talked about this multiple times in recent weeks and months. This Congress that we have controlled by the Republicans with their very narrow majority is statistically the worst Congress we have ever had. They have passed the fewest number of, uh, bills in the history of Congress, and they have put us on the brink of five different government shutdowns. To put it another way, they're not doing anything in the House of Representatives in Washington DC other than whatever the hell Trump wants them to do, which is investigate Biden to hell and back. But they have actually done a couple other things in recent months because these Republicans in Congress, while obviously not working for the public, you know, they're not passing legislation to make your or my life better. What they are doing is proposing different pieces of legislation to honor Donald Trump in some of the most disturbing ways imaginable.

Let me read you this from USA today. Earlier this month, representative Paul Gosar, Republican from Arizona introduced a bill requiring the US Treasury to start printing $500 bills again after 79 years with the pricey legal tender, now featuring a portrait of Trump in place of the late president, William McKinley Gosar said the proposal was meant to draw attention to high inflation under Joe Biden. Um, on June 14th, Republican representative Greg Stub of Florida put forward legislation to name the country's coastal exclusive economic zone, an area of more than 4,000 or 4,383,000 square miles, bigger than the total US landmass for the former president. So, Greg, Greg Stub wants to name the coastal exclusive Economic Zone, the Donald Trump Coastal Exclusive Economic Zone. A bill to rename Dulles International Airport for Trump is awaiting action by the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. And of course, you had, uh, uh, Republican representative Anna Paulina Luna of Florida in May, she pushed a bill to award Trump the Congressional Gold medal for his administration's foreign policy success, which he didn't exactly name what those successes were because they don't exist.

But sure, let's give Donald Trump a gold medal. Let's name the airports after him. Let's name the, the coastal exclusive economic zone after him. Let's put him on the $500 bill. Now, even this article that I read you from USA today tells us that this is just 'cause Republicans are kissing Trump's. Right? That's what this is all about. It's always Republicans just sucking up to Trump. I disagree on this. I don't think any of this has anything to do with just kissing up to Trump. I, I think that's a part of it. Sure. I guess I think the bigger part of it is to just off liberals, because that's where we are with politics, right? These Republicans in the House of

Representatives, they've sucked up to Trump enough, right? They don't have to go and do these extra, you know, over the top things. They're doing these over the top things because they know that everybody on the left hates Donald Trump. And if we do this, it's gonna get under their skin, right?
