Uh, momentum shifts, the polls shift, and Elon Musk came out on Tuesday, basically almost a week after the initial report, and now Elon Musk says, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I am totally not doing that.

I don't know why people are saying I'm giving $45 million a month. Like that ain't happening. So Elon Musk is now backing off that pledge. After, of course, all of the, well, the whole dynamic of the race shifted in favor of the Democrats. But here's the thing. In their haste to report that Elon Musk was dumping Donald Trump, a lot of media outlets missed what Musk actually said, because Musk is not denying that he is going to keep giving money to this America Pac, maybe even $45 million a month. What he said is that he's not giving money to Donald Trump. Listen to Musk's words. Here's what he said. What's been reported in the media is simply not true. I am not donating 45 million a month to Trump. I don't prescribe to a cult of personality. America Pac is not supposed to be a sort of hyperpartisan group, but rather one that promotes meritocracy and freedom from as much government intervention as possible.

Trump, but you're still giving money to the group that is using money to support Donald Trump, and you're doing it under the guise of, oh, no, they're doing voter outreach and stuff. Yeah, that's, that's what this is about. He got busted. He took about a week to try to come up with a clever lie, and now he's trying to argue semantics. That's what he's doing. He's not not giving the money. It's just, it's not in the way that the media says, like, it's completely false, because I'm not giving the money to him. I'm giving the money to this group that then gives the money to him. So, media, you're a bunch of liars, right?

This is the most just absolute dumbest defense possible because again, America Pac is a right wing political action committee supporting Donald Trump. Elon Musk says he's still giving money to that group. He just wants to make it clear that the money's not going directly to Donald Trump. It just has to make a little stop along the way before it gets to Donald Trump's pockets. He is trying to cleverly confuse you, but as per usual, he's just not that good at it, and the money will still end up going to Donald Trump. And no Elon Musk has not backed off of his pledge. Don't let him fool you when he tells you otherwise.
