So it's not just that voters thought that Kamala Harris won Tuesday night's debate. That's a given. Every poll that has come out has shown, yes, we think Harris won the debate. Now a lot of people think that that's because, yeah, Donald Trump looked insane. She made him look insane. She really got him off his game, right? If you think that you would actually be wrong, and the reason why most people who watch the debate think Harris won it is actually better than that. It's actually a very positive note. According to a poll from YouGov that was released Thursday morning, a majority of people say that Harris won the debate, not because she got Donald Trump off his game or because she hammered him extensively, but because she was better on the issues. That's what matters. In fact, that is the only thing that matters, and she won it.

Let me read you this from you gov. Harris is seen as having laid out a clearer plan for her presidency than Trump. While Trump is likeer to be seen as telling more lies than Harris, most Republicans think the debate moderators, whom were few were familiar with prior to the debate were biased in favor of Harris. Most Democrats think they were fair. Two thirds of registered voters say they watched at least some of the Harris Trump debate. Nearly half say they watched all or most of it. So two thirds of registered voters watch this debate, and that is important too. 54% think that Harris was the winner. While 31% say Trump was independents are more likely to believe Harris was the winner by 53% to 25%. So by more than two to one independent voters picked Harris as the winner. It gets better. More voters think that Harris, 46% laid out a clearer plan for what she'd do if elected than think Trump did.

32%. So 46% to 32%. The voters said Harris laid out a better plan. She was more clear about her plan. More registered voters see Trump as having told more lies or exaggerations during the debate than Harris. Uh, 48% to 33. So more people think Trump lied his face off. Voters generally thought that Harris spent more time during the debate explaining what she'd do if elected 42% rather than attacking her opponent 35%. The opposite is true for Trump. 52% think he spent more time on the attack while 28% think he was focused on explaining his plans. 43% of registered voters say moderators, David Muir and Lindsey Davis were fair and unbiased, while 29% say they were biased in favor of Harris. And 4% say they were biased in favor of Trump.

But, but it's the issue thing. Two thirds of registered voters said, we watched at least some of it, and about half of those people said she did a better job of telling us what she would do if she were President Trump. On the other hand, most of the watchers said he spent more time just attacking her. That's the issue. That's where she wins. And she did it while intermittently beating the living crap out of Donald Trump too. So she did both things exceptionally well, but voters walked away from it thinking, yeah, she explained to me what she would do, and that is what matters the most.
