During a Q&A with reporters in Los Angeles on Friday, Donald Trump was asked if he had any regrets about spreading the racist conspiracy theory that Haitian migrants were eating pets in Springfield, Ohio. Instead of correcting the false statements, Trump instead said that the REAL threat is immigrants coming across our borders, then went into his usual talking points. While he was speaking in Los Angeles this past Friday, Donald Trump was of course asked by reporters about the baseless and repeatedly debunked conspiracy theory that he pushed at the debate. That, of course, said that Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, were eating the cats. They're eating the dogs. They're eating the pets in Springfield. Now, we now know that the original woman who posted that on Facebook has deleted the post. She regrets what she did. She is shocked that it blew up like this, and she admitted that she was the fourth hand source of that information and that she has no idea who originally said it. She just heard it from somebody who heard it, from somebody who heard it, from somebody who told her. That's how that happened. A giant game of telephone that has now resulted in the city of Springfield, basically being on lockdown because of right wing nut jobs, threatening to bomb every building in the city.

So Trump was asked about it, right? You did this. What do you have to say about it? Do you regret it? They asked him, and here is his response. No, no, no. The the real threat is what's happening at our border, because you have thousands of people being killed by illegal migrants coming in. No, no, no. We don't. There are not thousands of people being killed by migrants. That is flagrantly false right off the bat and also dying. You have women dying as they come up. They're coming up in large groups. We call it a caravan. I think I came up with that name, but it's really what it is. 10,000, 15,000, 20,000 people, and you have large numbers of women being killed in those caravans coming up to this country, and then when they get here, they can go into this country and they end up being sex slaves and everything else. Those are your real problems, not the problem that you're talking about.

So he wants us to focus on, on mostly imaginary problems. There are not caravans coming across the border. Remember, all through the Trump administration, every time something went bad for Trump, what happened in the media to save him, to distract us? Oh, there's a caravan. Oh God, there's a caravan. They're com. They're almost at the border. They're almost at the border, and they never made it right 'cause, 'cause they weren't real. Every time there was a midterm election, oh, there's a caravan. We got a caravan coming again right before the 2020 election caravan. And then suddenly, suddenly, when Trump wasn't in office and needed a distraction, we didn't have reports of caravans anymore. Huh? Isn't that weird timing? No. It proves to you that this is all a lie. What is real, however, are the threats that not just the Haitian community is facing in Springfield, Ohio, and all over the country now because of what they did, but the threats that are coming into the schools, the city offices,

And the hospitals for four straight days, we have now had repeated bomb threats coming in. The first ones, of course, targeted city hall, DMV offices, other government buildings. Then later that same day, multiple different schools received bomb threats. Then the next day on Friday after, you know, Trump was asked these questions, these things had already happened. More bomb threats came into schools on Saturday, bomb threats coming into hospitals, forcing them to go into lockdown mode. Same thing happening on Sunday. This is, this is insanity, and it's all because of that one idiot who posted this garbage on Facebook, not even caring if it were true or not, and it reached its way to Donald Trump, and he is now tearing this country apart with his racist lies.
