A financial analyst for Fox News said on the air this week that the idea of people investing in Donald Trump’s media company was “laughable.” Even the stock price has rebounded after bottoming out in the teens just a few weeks ago, the analyst believes that the company is still headed towards disaster because there is no real way for it to sustain itself. The revenue stream for the company is virtually non-existent, and their expenses are through the roof. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

A financial analyst who regularly appears on Fox News, went on Fox Business Network this week to admit that it is absolutely laughable for anyone to purchase stock in Donald Trump's media company, which of course trades under the, uh, initials DJ T and it is called the Trump Media and Technology Group. And that, of course, is the group that owns Truth Social and they really don't own much else, but they're also hemorrhaging money. So financial analyst, uh, Davidson, who is a managing partner of the Boson Group, said he could not recommend voting in Trump Media, the parent company of True Social that trades under the ticker DJT. Despite a recent increase in stock prices from $18 to $42 a share, he said, I'm going to laugh if we keep talking about DJT. There's not even a fundamental connection to Trump winning the election with it. It's just a company that sets hundreds of millions of dollars on fire and there's no path to changing that if Trump wins. Twitter is still the big social media app for this.

So Monson believes that even if Trump wins truth, social is still worthless. Even though as I mentioned, the stock price had bottomed out a couple weeks ago in the teens. It actually went way below 18. I don't know why they picked 18 at one point it was down to 13, um, but it's now back up to 42. It's had this miraculous rebound for no reason, a rebound that is based on nothing. It's not like the company came out and said, Hey, we just launched a new division, or Hey, we actually just pulled in a ton of revenue. None of that happened. The stock rebounded for no good reason, which means it is not sustainable. That's kind of what he's telling us here. It's not tied to the election, it's not tied to polls because whether Trump wins or loses, nobody's leaving Twitter or XI guess if that's what we're gonna call it.

But I love this. I love that this was said on Fox News because I guarantee you the largest holders of DJT stock in this country are probably people who sit and watch Fox News every day. So they're getting this information whether they want it or not, and it's probably not what they wanted to hear, but the company has been hemorrhaging money since it came into existence. He's right about them just basically lighting hundreds of millions of dollars on fire. Lemme read you this. In August, Trump media reported the company lost 16 million from the same point over the previous year. Revenue fell 30%. The revenue that they brought in for, I think it was the second quarter of this year

Was just hundreds of thousands of dollars. And they, they spent tens of millions. There is not a company in existence, there is not a family in existence that can spend tens of millions of dollars a quarter while bringing in only hundreds of thousands that will eventually lead to bankruptcy for anyone or any company. And that's what we're looking at with truth social. So yeah, the stock price may have rebounded, but even the financial analysts on Fox News say that it's laughable to dump any money into this stock.
