We all know that once Donald Trump gets back into office, he's going after his political enemies. That is agenda item number one. I know the campaign says that agenda item number one is the mass deportations and expanding drilling here in the United States, but let's be real, he's gonna go after his political enemies first. That that, that is his priority, and that is how he will spend the next four years. One of the people at the very top of the list, or at least near the top of the list, is of course none other. The New York Attorney General Letitia James, she is the one who of course brought the massive fraud lawsuit that she won against Donald Trump. He still owes them what? 450, 400 $80 million that he doesn't have. So she is prepared not only to protect her case, but also to protect herself. And after Donald Trump's victory this week was of course confirmed.

James came out and announced that she actually had contingency plans in place to make sure that Trump isn't able to go after her, her office, or her court victory. Here's what she said. We've studied their platforms. We've identified certain possibilities, fact patterns. We've created contingency plans. So no matter what the next administration throws at us, we're ready. We're ready to respond to their attacks. So despite what has happened on the national stage, we will continue to stand tall in the face of injustice, revenge, or retribution. We will continue to protect our most vulnerable and marginalized amongst us. This is not the time to be fearful New York, but faithful and steadfast knowing that I as the Attorney General, along with my entire team, we are guardians of the law and we are prepared, my friends, to fight back.

See, that's how you do it. That's how you inspire hope into people in a time of hopelessness. That's how you give them a little bit of faith that the guardrails of democracy have not completely fallen off this country. Now, you contrast that, of course, with the previous story I did about Judge Marshan, who's thinking, oh, well I gotta drop all these charges against him. I gotta move on. I'm scared, and I get that he's scared. He's a target too. But look at the two different responses. Oh, I should drop everything against Trump versus come at me. Right? Because that's the message Letitia James is sending. Like, you wanna go? Let's go. I ain't backing down. That is the attitude that we all have to have right now, right? This has inspired me. This makes me feel good in a week where I got like nothing to feel good about. I love this. I love the strength. I love the message. I love the tenacity of it.
