YouTube Description
as posted by the channelPostmaster General Louis DeJoy, an appointee of Donald Trump that is still on the job, was the focal point of a Congressional hearing this week where things quickly went off the rails. During a tense questioning session by a Republican member of Congress, DeJoy got so annoyed that he covered his ears with his hands and then told the Congressman that he was “talking to himself.” This was the most bizarre thing we’ve seen in a long time in the House, and that’s saying something. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what happened.

Louis DeJoy, the man who Donald Trump had appointed to be postmaster general way back several years ago. And of course he's still postmaster general today because of the massive flaw in our government that allows the president to appoint the postmaster general but not fire them. So anyway, DeJoy is still the postmaster general and he is still doing what Donald Trump hired him to do, which is make the post office run like garbage. So DeJoy was hauled in front of the House Oversight Committee this week where he had a very bad day, not just because the Democrats grilled the hell out of him, but also Republicans on that oversight committee. Uh, verbally beat the hell out of DeJoy. And the best beat down, I gotta say, comes from Republican representative Rich McCormick of Georgia. Here is what McCormick said to DeJoy while he was sitting there.
And then things get really weird. Listen to this.
Almost every single business I know that wants to send a checkout won't use the US Postal Service anymore. I won't use the US Postal Service anymore. That's on your watch. The two major decisions I've seen you make, which is on the distribution centers and on employee rate hiring, have done nothing to mitigate this in real time ways. I don't understand why you give yourself an A grade, as you just stated, when it comes to the delivery we have, your reputation is done, whether you admit it or not. In the military, if you have a skipper who, who things are going bad for, they're a good military officer. But you know what we do when things go wrong repeatedly, we relieve them. You know what you do when A CEO repeatedly fails in that business model falls apart. Nobody wants to use that business anymore, and it becomes non-profitable. You fire them. You know what we do in government when organizations fail over and over and over again and become unaccountable and are not going in the right direction. Unfortunately, representative McCormick, again, a Republican, didn't have the chance to finish his statement because it was at that point Louis DeJoy did and said
This,
You are talking to no one. You're talking to yourself.
I wish I was making that up.
The Postmaster General of the United States during a house oversight committee
Hearing,
Uh, when he heard things he didn't want to hear,
He
Put his hands over his ears
And said, you are
Talking
To yourself like a child.
This is the man that is in charge of the male. And he acted like a whiny petulant child
During a house oversight committee hearing. And of course, McCormick got kind of, rightfully so. And McCormick said, I hope you got that on camera. This is the response that the postmaster just gave Congress when he doesn't like what he hears. Literally covered his ears and gave him himself the grade of a, and then he said, I yield my time. And DeJoy added good They're frigging children. They're frigging children. Not necessarily McCormick. Although McCormick has done other crappy things this week is a piece of garbage. But this time he was right. But the funny part is nobody in this congressional hearing pointed out the fact that DeJoy is doing the job he was hired to do. Donald Trump picked Louis DeJoy to be the postmaster general in 2020, so that DeJoy would destroy the mail system ahead of the 2020 election. He took out sorting machines, brand new sorting machines and post offices. I know I sat here, right here in this very chair, in front of this very camera talking about it when it happened. He was picked to destroy the mail system so that people wouldn't vote by mail in 2020 during the pandemic.
