Companies like Meta, Amazon, AT&T, Bank of America, and many others are spending as much as they possibly can to kiss up to Donald Trump as they hope to both avoid his wrath and get special treatment from the incoming administration. Donald Trump is set to raise the most money ever raised by a president-elect for his inaugural celebrations. Uh, back in 2016, I believe he had raised over 107 million, and that, of course, was the most at the time. And he is now poised to raise more than $150 million for his inauguration, which of course we will probably hear about from now until the end of time, as Donald Trump will boast about it. Every opportunity he gets. And the reason Donald Trump is raising so much money for his inaugural celebrations is because corporations across the country are lining up to Kiss's. And they are giving millions and millions and millions of dollars to the man that they allegedly didn't want to be president. The very same man that they condemned following the Capitol Riot. A new report from Rolling Stone shows that at least 11 of the massive corporations who have given more than a million dollars to Donald Trump's inaugural committee, 11 of them pledged to stop giving money to Republicans following the January 6th attack on the Capitol.

Now, I'm sure we all remember that, right? Right after January 6th, and of course after Republicans in Congress voted against certifying the election, even after the riot, all these corporations came out and said, we're done never again. We are not giving any money to these people. Some said, we're not giving any money to Republicans ever again. And as I reported at the time, um, it took actually less than a month for a lot of these companies to restart their giving. Some of them took a little longer, some of them took about six to 12 months. But eventually all of them resumed giving money to Republicans. And of course, those specifically who voted against certifying the election results following the riot. And so it should come as no surprise that these companies are once again pouring the cash into Donald Trump's coffers. And there's a two reasons why they're doing this.

One, they're afraid of him. They do believe, as the rest of us do, that Donald Trump's gonna weaponize the justice system. He's gonna go after his political enemies, but he's also gonna go after those companies that didn't take care of him. If they stayed silent, if they didn't give money one way or the other, that's just as bad as giving money to Democrats. 'cause it's not just that you helped the Democrats, it's that you didn't help him. So they're afraid he will come after them. According to Rolling Stone, quote, Trump has at times asked close allies about how much major corporations have donated to the inaugural committee, and has sometimes inquired about specific companies by name, a person with direct knowledge of the matter tells Rolling Stone. Earlier this month when the President-elect asked about one big name corporation and was told it hadn't donated, Trump replied, quote, well, they better do it soon, then according to the source. So not only is Donald Trump keeping track, he's asking about people specifically like, did this company give me anything? Has this one given me anything? And you better believe, if they don't, they're gonna find their names on Donald Trump's naughty list, and he's going to come after them.
