So again, right off the table, if you're on the left, you're looking at that, you're like, well, that's great news. And yes, he is right. The polls are showing that right now. They do not show a complete collapse, but they show collapsing and there is a difference between the two. But things are going bad for Donald Trump. Each new set of polls coming out each and every week, the news gets worse and worse and worse. So why is this not great news for Democrats right now? Well, as Inten explains, uh, the Democratic Party's brand is in the absolute gutter. It used to be that when you took the working class in general, because you combined both black and Hispanic working class with white, that Democrats would win that group. And it just ain't the case no more. And in fact, as we all know, the Democrats, of course are suffering from a historically low approval rating.

So yeah, the public's off at Republicans, but the public doesn't like the Democrats right now either. And sure, that could easily benefit the Democrats in the 2026 midterms because they could still pull off massive victories. But if they want those victories to be long lasting, if they want to win more than just one cycle, they have do something to make that happen. But he did point out a bright spot with the Democrats right now, as he said. Why are Democrats wise to go after Elon Musk in poll after poll after poll? He's unpopular. Uh, he's 18 points underwater nationally. It's bad. It's tremendously awful. Awful. Poison. It's awfully difficult to claim victory when the candidate you support lost by 10 points. So yeah, the Democrats making Elon Musk, the guy is working in elections and that's good. But Elon Musk has a special government employee and as the Trump administration has already hinted at, uh, he's not gonna be around there forever, he'll probably be gone long before a year before at least the uh, midterms roll around. And sure, his damage will be there. And you can talk about him in that regard. You could talk about him when he threw his money into these races, trying to buy seats for whatever. But you've gotta appeal to the people too. It can't just be these people suck because the people already know that it has to be, these people suck and we are better because X, y, z, it's okay to say that the other party is bad. You just have to go the extra step of explaining why you are good. 'cause you can't just be default good because they are bad.
