4:47Now PlayingDonald Trump’s FBI has formally launched a criminal into New York Attorney General Letitia James, and they are accusing her of doing a similar thing to what she got Donald Trump for. The allegations are that she undervalued a property in order to secure loans from the government all the way back in the early 2000’s, which could cause the administration to run into a statute of limitations issue. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

The FBI has officially formally opened a criminal investigation into New York Attorney General Letitia James. Now, this investigation was actually officially launched last week, and very little media attention was paid to it. And I get it. Donald Trump is doing a lot of crazy things at any given moment. And there are perhaps bigger issues out there, I guess. But I would think that weaponizing the FBI effectively weaponizing the DOJ to go after one of your biggest political enemies who basically destroyed your business. I would think that should still be pretty big news. However, the media kind of ignored it. Here is what's happening. You had the US attorney for the Northern District of New York, man, by the name of John Saroni III, made this announcement late last week. We stand prepared to act in the capacity that we need to when and if we are informed there's a charge to be made. Unlike Letitia James, who unethically ran around the state campaigning on getting Donald Trump, my office conducts itself in a manner that is proper and professional.
You see that statement right there, Mr. Saroni? Um, that's not professional, okay? You're just parroting what Donald Trump has said in the past, which for the record proves that this is a political persecution instead of a genuine criminal investigation. And how dare you accuse others of being unprofessional while you're accusing others of being unethical and parroting talking points from a convicted felon. Like what a piece of garbage this guy is. So what are the charges, or at least what are the grounds for an investigation? Well, they had been investigating Letitia James for, for quite some time now. You know, they, they wanted to find something 'cause we know everybody's got something dark in their past. And, uh, the best they could come up with was we, we think, which should be easy to prove or disprove based on, you know, what was filed. We think that she declared that her, uh, permanent residence was in Virginia, but she is legally required to live in New York. So, you know, uh, that's worthy of the Department of Justice investigating her. Again, you should be able to go online into a database and see where she listed her primary residence. If it does in fact say Virginia, okay, that's wrong. She needs to, I guess, be what, punished for it. Sure. But for the DOJ to launch a criminal investigation based on that, that's about as thin as it comes. Oh, but don't
Worry, folks, that's actually not the only allegation they've made against her. They said she may have undervalued a property that she bought, get this in 2001 may have undervalued it in order to get, uh, government funding to, to help her buy. It may have. Of course, they, they don't, they don't have the evidence yet, which again, should be very easy to, to find. It's all digitized. You could literally just pull up the records and see if that happened. Um, you pull up what she valued in her application to get government funding, and then you pull up what the tax value of the property was like. That's a quick three minute search. If you take a two minute coffee break during it, you, you don't need the FBI to look into that. Y'all could have done it and if you had it, you'd be a little more direct in what you're accusing her of. Make no mistakes, folks. This is a political persecution. Trump is always gonna hold a grudge against Letitia James for her successful, you know, civil prosecution of the Trump organization. And this is the result. This is the weaponization that we all feared. It is here, it is being done right now. Letitia James just happens to be the first big one that Donald Trump is going after.
