MAGA Voters In Red States Are Getting REAL Sick Of Trump

These voters say that they haven’t seen a single federal worker on the ground as they attempt to pick up the pieces of their lives – quite literally. Donald Trump has been telling us for years, both during his campaign and of course ever since he got sworn back in, that he was first and foremost America first. You know, we are tired of catering to these other countries, letting them take advantage of us. We gotta take care of our own people. I am America first. He tells us on a constant basis, and the people who voted for him believed it. But now a lot of those people, and I'm not talking about the moderates, I'm talking about the diehard MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters are asking, where the hell is this America first? Because I sure as hell don't see it. So here's what's happening. As we all know, we have multiple states across the country, all of them red states that have suffered through a spate of horrific tornadoes that have left dozens of people dead across the country, uh, hundreds of thousands more without their homes or without their belongings or with some kind of loss.

And in state, after state, red state, after Red State, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, and North Carolina, the federal government is nowhere to be found. The state of Mississippi, for example, experienced horrific tornadoes in mid-March, okay? And we're now at the end of May, but in mid-March, they suffered these horrific tornadoes on April 1st, Mississippi's Republican Governor, Tate Reeves petitions, the Trump administration to declare a national, uh, natural disaster area so that FEMA can come in and help these people rebuild their lives and give us the money and the supplies that we need. That was on April 1st. The administration has taken no action on that request. A red state filled with red MAGA voters, and this administration has left them out to dry. So here's what a couple of those Trump supporters in that red state of Mississippi had to say. I know President Trump said that America first, we're gonna help our American folks first, but we haven't seen the federal government folks down here. Another said, I don't know what you gotta do or what. You gotta have to be able to be declared for a federal disaster area because this is pretty bad. We can't help you because whatever, we're waiting on a letter. We're waiting on somebody to sign his name. You know all that. I'm just over it.

Gee, it's almost as if listening to 45 years of Republican propaganda telling you that the government isn't ever gonna help you became a self-fulfilling prophecy. Now, didn't it? I have sympathy for these people going through these horrific natural disasters. I've been through many myself, and I know how tough it is. It's nobody's fault when that happens.

Empathy. However, I don't know, y'all have been voting for this for years. I think back to the early 1980s, right? Ronald Reagan came out. The nine most dangerous words you could ever hear somebody say are I'm from the government and I'm here to help. Oh, and Republicans ate that up. These voters loved it. Screw the federal government. You're a bunch of useless a-holes. Stay outta my life. Government. And then suddenly you end up in a situation where your home is destroyed by a tornado, and you say, oh my God, government, please come help me. Where are you government? Oh God. And the federal government's like, gee, sure. Wish I could help you. But you know, you've been voting for Republicans for 45 years that have been systemically destroying the federal government to the point where now that you actually do need us, we can't help you.
