Media Ignoring Trump’s Corruption And Insanity Because They Love “Access”

Politico released a fawning report about President Trump this week where they said that it was “impressive” how much media he has done since taking office. They then immediately took a swipe at President Biden for not doing as much media as Trump has done. This follows reports from before Trump’s inauguration about how giddy media outlets were that Trump was coming back because he loves talking to them. The press is refusing to cover important issues because they love that Trump is willing to speak to them and they don’t want to jeopardize that, as Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains.

So over at my other channel, fair and Balanced, which by the way, if you're not subscribed to that channel, you really do need to go subscribe to that channel as well. But anyway, I talked in a, in a segment this week about the fact that I have seen headlines just this week alone from British Media, Australian Media, even Russian media talking about Donald Trump's open corruption and his declining cognitive state. But here in the United States, stories like that are relegated to independent media outlets, YouTube channels. You're not hearing a ton of talk about that from the national media, right? Politico, New York Times, Washington Post, the cable news channels. They're ignoring a lot of it. Not all of it, but a lot of it. And Politico this week decided to tell us why that is, without saying, that's why it is Politico put out a report talking about the impressive amount of media appearances that Donald Trump has done since being sworn in as president while slamming former President Biden for not doing much media at all.

And before I read you what Politico wrote, let me remind you of a story that I did before Donald Trump was even inaugurated for his second term, because a story had come out at that time. This was early January, possibly late December. But anyway, that story talked to members of the press who actually said they're excited about Donald Trump coming back, not because of his policies, not because they're right wingers, but because access. In that article, they quoted several journalists of saying he loves to talk to us. It's easy to talk to the president because Trump loves to have the media around and we're more than happy to be there. So they love that access, which they openly admitted earlier this year or at the end of last year. And then this week, Politico issues this fawning report over Donald Trump. A quick trawl through the archive suggests Trump 2.0 has done media on 111 of his 138 days back in office, an 80% hit rate. That includes weekends they put in, you know, italics and must put him on course to being just about the most accessible president in modern history. And aside from the lamentable attempt to ban ap, he's basically taking questions from all comers. It's impressive stuff and it matters in case anyone still needs this hammering home for them. The Joe Biden experience shows just how important it is that leaders are held up to regular scrutiny. Trump's answers may sometimes be rambling, erratic, or even downright unpleasant, but every American voter can see where he's at.

Thank you, Politico. Thank you Politico, for giving us the answer as to why you're not talking about Donald Trump's open corruption. The fact that he's taking bribes from everybody, bribes from other countries to avoid trade, uh, wars, bribes from other countries to, you know, get their hands on more US weapons, bribes from wealthy donors to get pardons for their sons. And of course, his very obvious declining mental state, which you guys won't touch with a 10 foot pole. So thank you Politico, for letting us know that none of that matters. Actual journalism, doesn't matter. All that matters is access. All that matters is that this man is willing to pop his head out from that, you know, behind closed doors on Air Force. One answer a couple quick questions, insult us to our faces, but hey, at least he's talking to our faces. Unlike Biden, off with that.
