According to a report from Wired this week where they spoke to multiple insiders In Hollywood TV producers are moving away from anything, any show pitches, any show concepts that could be construed as woke progressive, or even just slightly left leaning to the point where they're now afraid to pitch a TV show to a studio that features a non-white leading character. And the reason for this, according to the report, is because these TV producers believe that, Hey, America's moved to the right. Obviously Trump won the 2024 election, which proves most people are conservative shows like Yellowstone are taken off. And that's, you know, kind of a Backwood show. Duck Dynasty was popular over a decade ago. Sure. Um, but they use that as justification and hasn't that show been off the air for like 10 years at this point? But anyway, and they're saying people want these good down home conservative value shows, they don't want the woke DEI non-white characters.

And I wish I was making this up, but this is exactly what is happening in Hollywood right now. Let me read you a couple things. More conservative projects are getting Green lits at Colin Whelan, the founder of Conveyor Media, which produces reality shows for major companies, including Netflix. People are pitching more shows like that because they realize that's what's selling some of these shows include the Fox Network Reality program. Farmer Wants a Wife and a potential reboot of the show's Seventh Heaven, which of course was an overly Christian, borderline ridiculous program that actually did run for 11 seasons. But here's where these people get it wrong. They think that TV viewership is declining across America because these shows aren't reflecting the Christian values. They wanna see more cowboys, more people from the south, right? Well, no see, TV viewership is declining because fewer people are watching tv.

It's literally that simple. But what's the cause of people not watching tv? The cause of people not watching TV is because now we have choices, right? We don't have to sit and watch whatever's on channel, you know, three in the evening because we only have 10, 15, 20, 30 channels to choose from. Even if we have 400 channels to choose from. You still, and you know this typically found yourself watching the same few channels You had to go with what whatever was on, but now you don't. Now you can hop on YouTube, watch a four, five minute video, watch a 10 minute video, watch a two hour video of whatever

You want to see. And that's the problem with linear television that these producers think can be solved by going conservative, is that you don't give people choice. You tell people, this is what you're gonna watch Thursday at 9:00 PM It's what we're airing. You got no choice. Well, yeah, they do. They can go to a different streaming service and just pick a show they wanna watch. Maybe go to season four, watch a rerun of Frazier for God's sakes. They can watch whatever they want. You don't get to tell them anymore what they have to sit and watch. And that's what people are doing. TV viewership for many years now has been steadily declining. Every year. Movie viewership is declining. People don't wanna see anything that Hollywood has to offer, to be honest. It's not a left or right thing, it's a choice thing. But rather than accepting that, accepting that the old model no longer functions in a modern society, TV producers are saying, let's just shove conservative propaganda, dis propaganda disguised as a drama down their show.
