As we were doing research for today's show, we were looking at the local law enforcement's response and what they were doing. While we were unable to secure a comment for today's episode, we did find a letter from Chief Darryl Bowens. I'm gonna put it up on the screen here, from February 14th, 2025. He's the Holly Springs Police Department chief.
About midway here we see he's written, by that being said, I know our community is weary of the recent shootings throughout our city that have occurred. However, these incidences are isolated between individuals that know each other. I'm sure that's some comfort for the people of Holly Springs, that the people who are shooting each other know each other. The chief goes on. Yes, shootings have increased lately, but the city is still safe. Updated security measures by our IT department have been implemented throughout the city to ensure recovery of evidences to aid in solving the crimes. Having reviewed the letter from the chief of police, and given the recent incident at the bar, it seems like the residents of Holly Springs are used to taking care of things for themselves.
