Well, it was only a matter of time before it happened folks, but Elon Musk has now officially launched a civil war within the Republican Party, and it is absolutely one of the most beautiful things to behold in modern day American politics. Here's what's happening. Elon Musk, of course, has off about the quote, big beautiful bill that Donald Trump and the Republicans are pushing because Elon Musk says, Hey, uh, you're adding too much to the deficit. And I just did all this work, shredding like 10 billion in government spending because he couldn't cut as much as he wanted. So yeah, you're kind of screwing up the work I did with Doge. So he got on social media this week in two separate posts and said, first of all, uh, he said, the bills a disgusting abomination and shame on those who voted for it. You know, you did wrong.

You know it. And then he followed up and said, in November next year, we fire all politicians who betrayed the American people. So essentially the world's richest man who we know has about $400 billion that he could easily throw around in elections, primaries, whatever is threatening to fire all of the Republicans who voted for this bill, which in the House of Representatives was all but five of them. So Republicans are freaking out. And of course, Elon Musk's followers on social media are mad at the Republicans now for supporting this. So that's where that civil war comes in. So multiple different Republicans in the house told Axios, including, uh, Republican speaker Mike Johnson, that we've been frantically trying to call Elon to explain to him why the bill is so good. And Johnson was like, but he, he, he never called me back. Listen, Republicans, you don't have to justify anything to Elon Musk.

You, you don't work for Elon Musk. Do you not realize that if Elon Musk is unhappy about your bill, which for the record, it is garbage and it shouldn't pass, but you don't have to convince him. What you have to do is convince your constituents that screwing them over was in their best interest, which you can't do. That's why you're talking to Elon instead of going and talking to your constituents. But here's what a couple other Republicans had to say. One of them said, there's a sense that Elon is still learning about the full number of wins in the one big beautiful Bill. That lawmaker also said that Republicans have talked to him in the last 24 hours and have helped him understand the big picture. Another house Republican told Axios quote, I think he'll recognize may maybe more than most the challenge that we face when we're trying to cut spending. He simply wants more spending. As I understanding, uh, he should know how hard that is. Not quite sure what that means, but okay. Then of course, you have Donald Trump, who actually had found an old post of Elon Musk

On social media where he was actually praising the bill. At one point, Trump retweeted that, according to Mike Johnson. Donald Trump is furious and told him how mad he is at Elon Musk for not supporting this. So again, everybody's just at each other's throats. This thing is working its way through the Senate. God only knows what's gonna happen to it. But this is a crap show. Republicans, y'all have had five months to put this thing together, and you still really don't even have it together, and now you're freaking out. 'cause one guy, Elon Musk, who's like, I'm gonna fire you all.
