4:17Now PlayingThe White House has clearly run out of patience for Pete Hegseth and his antics at the Pentagon, as new reports say that the administration has ordered Paranoid Pete to STOP giving polygraph tests to his employees. Hegseth ordered the tests to try to find the “leakers,” but instead created a culture of fear and mistrust without actually stopping any of the leaks. This directive from The White House shows that they have had just about enough from Hegseth, as Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains.

For many, many weeks now, and by many, many weeks, I basically mean ever since Signal Gate happened all the way back in April, which honest to God feels like an eternity ago at this point. But you know, just a couple months ago, either way, Pete Hegseth has had a rough go of it. He is obviously grossly unqualified to hold the position of Secretary of Defense. And nevertheless, he is there. He spends his time working out and posting workout videos on social media. Staffers are furious that he installed a makeup room in the Pentagon so that he can always lick his prettiest. But the staffers who also by the way, have now put together a letter sending it out to the public and to Trump saying, fire this guy. He doesn't know what the hell he's doing. But apparently the people that work in the Pentagon, members of the US military, they're not the only ones that have grown sick and tired of Pete Hegseth because it turns out even the White House is really just starting to run out of patience with this moron.
And it was reported this week that the White House actually finally stepped in and told Hei, stop using polygraphs to interrogate Pentagon staffers. Now what we know is that obviously this administration doesn't like leakers and they wanna find all the leakers. So towards the beginning of the administration, they started giving these polygraph tests. It was happening at the Pentagon, it's happening at the DOJ, it's happening at the FBI, it's happening in Homeland Security with Christie Nome. So you got Pam Bondi, cash Patel, Christie Nome, Pete Hegseth, all of them putting their employees to the polygraph to find the darn leakers. And of course, to make sure everybody is sufficiently loyal to Donald Trump. So what happened at the Pentagon was a hardcore Trump supporter. Patrick Weaver, who was, uh, he's advisor, was told he was gonna have to take a, a polygraph. And this is a hardcore Trump guy, Patrick Weaver.
They were told, you gotta take a polygraph. Well, Weaver got. So he calls his good buddies at the White House, including Steven Miller, and he says, can you believe what this a-hole is having me do? Me of all people thinking I'm a leaker or that I'm not loyal enough to Trump? Y'all gotta do something about this guy. And again, this is Heg Seth's advisor. Yes, he's loyal to Trump, but he was brought on as Heg Seth's advisor. And he's calling the White House telling them, you guys gotta put an end to this now. So the White House actually did something decent. They listened to his advice and the report says that they then told Hegseth, you're done, dude. No more polygraphs. Let it be.
Because of course, the funniest thing is with these polygraphs allegedly through all the departments, you know, trying to find the leakers, the only thing it's actually found is that people are leaking the information about the polygraphs to the, uh, press. So you didn't actually catch any leakers. The leaks have continued and you tried to interrogate the wrong guy and you got your butt handed to you by daddy, right? That's what happened. And y'all love to call him Daddy Trump. So let's just go along with that for this scenario. Pete Seth's time I think is coming to an end. I do not think Pete, uh, hegseth lasts till this point next year. I simply don't. That man has screwed up far too many times. He has off his entire staff. He has off the military. He's off Donald Trump on multiple occasions, including the polygraph thing. This guy, I think, is probably gonna be the very first high profile exit we see from this administration.
